Quick Look: Disney Dreamlight Valley

I'm a Disney adult, and I enjoyed this game. Take that for the good and the bad

I like some of this but my problem is I mostly play games late and it's always dark because it's real time, I'm depressed enough in real life :D

The Disney Adult is a genre of freak that I just can't wrap my head around but I do understand why Jan likes looking at this.

I was wondering why this disappeared off the schedule last week, lost footage explains it.

I've been poking at this a bit and it seems okay. It's got some F2P mobile trapping but like Jan said they don't really gate you with energy mechanics and whatnot as much as I would have expected.

Also I appreciate that while it does sync the time of day to your clock there seems to be nothing that gets closed off during certain hours and it does not seem like your penalized at all for taking extended breaks? So it doesn't appear to have the negative reinforcement loops that Zynga became famous for.

In some ways this feels like a Disney Infinity successor. I wish they had just figured out a way to keep that game going after the toys side of that business did not do well enough for them to keep it going. Will be interesting to see how fast they add content to tie into new movies, like the upcoming Strange Worlds.

Also I will die if they add Monkey Island content.

Anecdotally, this game is absolutely finding an audience among the "wife of guy who has an xbox" crowd.

I just need everyone to know that Minnie is a ghost who haunts the village. No one else, only Minnie.

Also this game has some really nice quality of life features for a farming sim. I’m enjoying it a lot, but will drop it if it gets predatory once it’s free to play.

Maaan, Mickey is so fucked up on angel dust. That character model looks really weird.

Who the hell is this game made for????

first ql i've watched since jeff gerstmann left. i think its weird that jeff grubb and jan are bonding over ogling the 14 year old looking player character that jan made but maybe thats just me
