Lockdown 2020: Dragon's Crown

Love Vanillaware games. Muramasa: Rebirth and its DLC is some of the most fun you can have on a Vita outside of Spelunky.

This reminds me of Dungeon Fighter Online.

I tried so hard to like Dragon's Crown, but I just couldn't. The screen was pure chaotic nonsense in battle, the movement felt unpleasant and rigid, and the endgame progression made absolutely no sense.

I wish this game came to PC. Fun game.

I've always been curious about Dragon's Crown, when I've been looking for new games to play, it keeps coming up. Glad to finally see it in action!

Yeah, I remember the endgame of this absolutely dropping the ball in a REALLY frustrating way.

I'd love to find another game that acted as a spiritual successor to the Capcom Arcade Dungeons and Dragons games, and hoped that this would scratch the itch, but MAN the art-style is just so off-putting to me.

It's not just the "boobs that compose 3/4s of the entire female body", either (although that's definitely not a design decision that I find attractive) -- the booby-harpy looks like someone chopped the head off a parrot and glued the upper torso of a woman to the neck-stump, the men all look as if they have SEVERE microcephaly, and the general animation style looks like paper-dolls on static matte paintings.

That said, by no means am I saying people aren't allowed to enjoy this game. There's just something about its overall feel that aggressively rubs me the wrong way. :b

Dorf was the best. Comboing with others for "they're dead before they hit the ground" fun.

The early part of this game is kinda slooooooooooooow and basic though.

I was way into Dragon's Crown when it came out. The crossplay between Vita and PS3 was awesome. The game looked best on Vita with that OLED, but I played many hours both ways. I was happy to see it go to PS4, though I never bought it. Maybe one day I'll go back to it and snag the PS4 version. It'd be really nice to see it get a PC version, but I'd love to see it on Switch.

You know, one thing I'm really loving about these lockdown streams is that we get to see a lot more Jason content.

Also I loved Dragon's Crown. Keep meaning to pick up the PS4 version.

I always found this games art to be atrocious. It just does not jive with me.
