This was the last thing on my backlog and I beat it just last week! (Shout-out to Austin for getting it on my backlog through years of podcast praise)
I really hope we get a sequel some day. It would be insanely cool if they applied Monster Hunter World levels of polish and quality of life improvements to this.

If there was one game I would choose to play forever... It would be Dragon's Dogma for sure.

I bought this game on PS 3 and was really into it but it was just really hard and for some reason incredibly dark on the TV we had at the time, and got back into it on the PC and always mean to go back and finish it and this isn't helping!

Although, I gotta say I've been having lots of fun with Xcom Chimera Squad recently. I'm kinda surprised how good that game is.

This game is so good. Loving that Jason is playing it. A sequel is definitely needed.

I love this game so much, it actually ruined monster hunter world for me for about 200 hours before I got over myself and the differences in video games.

Speaking of Monster Hunter World, annnnyybody recognize that menu select/toggle menu button sound effect?!?!?!?!!

(along with a number of other sound effects they reused from this game in MHW)

Seanbaby (who made the game my user icon is ripped from) once said about Dead Rising 2 that Capcom could rerelease it every few years with some new bits and stuff moved around, and he would buy it every time.

That's the way I feel about Dragon's Dogma.

I love "tis weak to fire", as if that doesn't apply to every living being.

Am I misremembering or wasn't there another Dragon's Dogma video before this? Can't seem to find it.

I've tried to play this game on like 3 separate occasions, and every time I always give up a little bit after the hydra sequence. At that point, it feels like the game opens up too much with no direction, and it is easy to get into bad situations like running around at night and getting killed by super-powered monsters. I think I'm just going to have to resign myself to the fact that I'll never get into the cool game that everyone seems to love.
