E3 2011: Darkness II Interview

I had the first one here forever (got a used copy for like 10 bucks) and didn't played it for some reason, so I started playing the other day and am quite enjoying it so far, also its efin crazy that you can actually watch an entire flippin movie in it...

I would give it a rent and play through it. It did things that I still haven't seen replicated that were really cool.

Oh, and I watched a full movie on a bum's TV in the subway. Never done that in a game before!

No matter how much people insist that the new graphical style compliments the game, I will never accept or like it. I loved the original, from the story to the graphics. This cell-shaded crap is garbage. Big disappointment in my opinion.

Unfortunately, my love of the first game forces me to at least give it a chance...

Is it me or the texture on the darkness arms look kinda... off?

I loved the Darkness. So looking forward to this. It is so distinct still to this day. I loved discovering bands from watching music videos on tv's and interacting with people. They set up the pace so amazing and atmosphere so well. They better have open world aspects like the first game. I hope they didn't give it multiplayer, even if it's good, no one will play it.

The art style is the only thing that throws me off. It seems a little to colorful, but I don't know it could be alright.

I'm more worried the story wont be as good. The original Darkness game is a good example of a great story but not as great game play. I mean it's not a terrible game, but the story is the reason to play it. The game play is kind of meh. I hope this time around they can strike a good balance.

I'm ok with the voice actor being different- although Nolan North seems like an odd choice (is that for real? that's odd to me).

Lastly i hope its about the same length (or longer) as the original and not shorter. Just sayin'.
