More praise from the community Abby's way from me. This feature is fantastic and really adds something to the E3 coverage that the more professional stuff feels its lacking. Its nice to get a peek behind the current a bit.

@andrewf87462: I think you can get DaVinci Resolve basic for free? However if your new to editing I would not call Resolve “easy to use”.

This is easily the best new segment in your E3 2018 coverage. Getting an off-the-cuff look at how the coverage is put together is awesome and really humbling for us fatties who stay how home and just watch all of the work that goes into putting something like this together. Having covered many conferences, I can say that, without a doubt, you all are not being paid enough.

@andrewf87462: I've heard pretty good things about the free version of DaVinci Resolve, but I haven't tried it myself yet. Avid also has a free version of Media Composer called Media Composer First, though I haven't spent a whole lot of time with it. I remember it not importing clips of whatever file type I had, which is just the most Avid-ass shit in the world, so I just ended up using Premiere again.

Abby's shirt at the end of that vlog was trying to give me vertigo the way it was being processed by the camera.

@andrewf87462: I started using HitFilm Express, but I don't know how it compares to other software - I'm new as well. As far as I can tell it's fairly feature complete for a free thing but maybe not the most beginner friendly. But as someone who wants to learn the tools more than creating something quickly, it's been OK so far.

@fngbomber: Thanks, I will take a look at it.

@none_braver: Gamespot has a booth on the show floor. So by getting their badges via Gamespot, they get an "Exhibitor" badge, which gives them easier access and allows them to bring more stuff with them. I think Jeff Backalar has one too for that reason. Gamespot, GB and CNET are all part of CBS Interactive so it's probably pretty easy to do the paperwork through the one outlet.

Always enjoy these behind the scenes stuff! Keep them coming!

Ok, really stupid and ignorant question...

I see in the thumbnail that Alex's badge says Gamespot. I know they're both owned by the same company but do the GB crew really have to go under that name? surely they're big enough to have Giant Bomb on the tag? Maybe it's just convenience.

The badges have said Gamespot since they were bought. Bakalar's does too, and he works for Cnet. I think it's just easier for them to get a big block of badges once, maybe?

The crew look exhausted. Thanks for taking the time do all of these Abby, and thanks to every Bomber for giving e3 their all this year despite the grueling schedule.

I know these were a lot of hard work during a very busy week, but they are greatly appreciated.

@ybbaaabby Did you end up shooting any more vlogs? They were my favourite part of E3 this year.
