She doesn't have nearly the same accent but yeah I agree with Brad the Council lady sounds a lot like Janice Polito from System Shock 2 at times. I looked that lady up and she doesn't seem to have done anything videogame related after SS2 and Thief 2 so it seems unlikely.

industries of titan has a ton of promise but there's a real issue in this build where you run out of stuff to spend resources on and progression tapers off

This was a solid UPF - good spread of games and nothing overstayed its welcome

Great stream @brad! Any plans to go back to Donkey Kong or attempt that dastardly Mario 3D World level?

I instantly got excited when you booted up that Hades. One of my favorite and most frequently played games this year. 60 hours in and still on a non-stop stream of new stories, encounters, items, and more. SO good. Please keep playing it on stream!

Yeah, agreed. I have 100+ hours in Hades and I keep coming back. It's such an incredible game, I can't wait until it "officially" launches so everyone can start playing it.

I don't know about Industries of Titan. Graphically it's quite dire, the tone is somewhat cutesy but also souldraining and it seems to focus a lot on routing energy around. Personally, the energy-part of citybuilders isn't the 'fun' part for me.

Noita lets you see what material your cursor is on right next to the inventory bar. That big pile Brad was wondering about turned out to be gunpowder. water is a good way to get rid of acid, and therefore it's always useful to remind yourself that you have a water flask with you and there is a water-generating spell that could help you in such situations. There's also a levitation bar on the right side of the screen. Brad often didn't stand on the ground long enough for his 'jetpack' to refill so he would constantly feel like he hardly had any levitation-juice.

Generally the idea of Noita is to find stuff in the levels, and then tweak your wands & spells in the little in-between sections. You can freely experiment with the wands here and retain the amount of uses the wand normally has during the levels. Personally i thought the idea of Noita was really cool and would constantly make me discover all kind of fun weapons to play with. Sadly i found that 90% of the time i was looking for a cheap, weak but accurate shot on a wand that lets you shoot it quite rapidly. There are some niches, like a spell to really dig down into levels and get all those treasure chests and gold, or a water spell to keep yourself safe from acid and fire. But again, that fast cheap accurate shooty-wand is the one you're always looking for.

Hades is the only roguelite game where I am now coming back only because of the tightness of the gameplay, as I have unlocked everything in the game that makes a difference and beaten the game many, many times. It just plays sooooo well! I've been sad to see so many sleep on it due to its early acccess nature - the whole conceit of the game considers early access and I've been happy to go back everytime there's a major update (of which there have been plenty!).

Industries of titan seems like the least interesting game I've seen to watch. It just seems really convoluted and not fun. NPCS barking real world information was jarring and dumb. Also like hire guys to pick up trash? Maybe I fell asleep during the explanations but what even is this game.

To clarify Brad makes the video enjoyable but the game seems duller than dog water.
