So what is this a side-story to?

Brad and Patrick rolling somewhere together? I knew they talked on IRC and whatnot, but it's so strange to imagine them hanging out together so long ago.

I think they used to be mods on GAF back when it was still just the gaming age forums. rudds and exxy or something

Paul's voice sounds so familiar... it's driving me crazy. I'm pretty sure it's not a voice of a personal friend, family member or acquaintance, he sounds like someone, an actor or something. Does anyone hear it? Maybe he just has a classic "radio voice," he sound like he has a show on NPR.

Turns out Brad has always been the cocky student beating up on helpless kids at the schoolyard. The master shows up and cuts him down to size, and Brad reverts to a fearful beginner.

Even starts calling Ninja Kid Ninja Boy to appease him!

As soon as Dan hears about playing in the trolliest way possible, you just see the Waluigi spirit awaken. This video's great, man.

Really enjoyable video, favorite bombastica. Paul is great, seems like a fun guy to hang out and play games with; smart, funny, has interesting stories and is supremely chill/relaxed. Hope to see him again sometime, and more special guest shows like this, this and the Dan's dad show were awesome.

PS Never seen Dan so quiet, it's spooky, guess he felt a little 3rd wheel among 2 old friends.

I'm almost certain someone talked about playing this game on the Bombcast months ago. Or maybe it was on Bombin' in the A.M., because I distinctly remember listening to someone describe it, and I don't listen to any other gaming podcasts.

If I recall correctly, a couple EGM editors from way, way back visited Scoops' home when he was like 13, since they were all part of the #vidgames crew on IRC. I think a good portion of that crew has been in the industry for at least a decade, let alone worked at Ziff Davis Media at some point in their careers.

Holy crap, I learned way more about this game in the first 15 minutes than I ever did playing like ten hours just messing around with it by myself.

Also Paul's appearance is very guru/hippy-ish which is a pretty big difference to Dan's straight 'just be a normal dude' philosophy. I guess i would feel out my element too for a while.

I thought the video was super cool though. We've seen quite some battle tetris on this site but it's good to just sit down with the game and really go deep on why this game is such an amazing game.

I used to love playing this game with my brother and cousin. It was one of the random games my dad brought back for me on a 3.5" floppy with the Game Doctor he got me when he was on a trip to China and Hong Kong.

Holy shit, I remember Iron & Blood! I rented the PS1 version back in the day, and yeah, it was awful.
