This is one of my all time favorite features! I'm so glad it's here!

So glad you were able to do this feature this year! A combo of Six Crazy Frights and Resident Evil is how I introduced my roommate to Giant Bomb, and we've been going through the previous years' episodes recently!

Hey, speaking of condemned things. Abby should look into playing Condemned: Criminal Origins for the 360. One of my favorite scary games from that generation.

Ah yes, Fright or Shite season is upon us...

Six crazy frights is mondo cool.

What was with the tenant in that house???

Fav series is back!! Unfortunate continuation of not really grasping the mechanics!

No hate towards Abby, but I really wish there was some type of pre-screening possible given that a lot of games (especially horror, especially indie) don't have the clearest onboarding.

I have a real soft spot for this game, and the whole Slender Man mythos in general. Can't help but feel like Abby is making it harder on herself because every time the camera distorts she stops and looks at the ground, which means he gets closer and kills her without her even seeing. The way the game works is that he's always chasing you, but won't just pop up where you're looking. But when she's still and looking at the ground, she's fair game. Plus the whole point of the forest environment is running around looking for the pages and seeing him in the treeline or by landmarks.

The return!!! Keeping the tradition of spooking alive.

Lies Beneath

Affected: The Manor

Face Your Fears 2

The Room VR: A Dark Matter

Of these, Lies Beneath is the standout horror game, but The Room is also great, though only mildly creepy.

Edit: Unrelated to this feature, but House Flipper VR is on the Quest also

Hopefully you check out Detention or Devotion this year.

It's wild to me that so many of these indie horror games have terrible (or no) instruction on what the heck you are supposed to be doing and also terrible flashlight implementations. Feels like they think being obtuse is a good substitution for being actually scary.
