Angela best new character 2020

I feel like "Tan-ya" is how Bakalar would say it.

Angela being a horrible person aside, it was kind of genuinely exciting to see a video game depict a middle-aged, unglamorous woman as a playable character.

I liked it, but I hope they don’t telegraph each other’s actions so much from here on out - at least when it comes to making decisions or seeing events. From what I remember, not knowing what the other is doing or seeing goes a long way in this series. Abby’s reaction to what Vinny does at the end is the best example :D

As a gamer that started on NES and also on a 486 back in the 90s, I was really sad to see Adventure Games sort of fade out as a genre for a long time given how rich with potential the storytelling could be. So I'm super happy to see stuff like this get made, it feels like a resurgence of storytelling as your main driver, and thanks to technology you're getting to see things that an interactive experience can do that something like TV shows or movies can't. It's really cool. Kudos to Supermassive Games.

Can anyone explain to me how the traits, relationships and premonitions are supposed to work? It all just seems meaningless to me.

My boyfriend and I just finished this and he was very mad Angela ended up dead in our game.

It feels like this game used to be a Silent Hill title.

@haneybd87: The traits and relationships are updated based on the kinds of responses you choose for the characters to say/do and are kind of just meant to reflect how you have been playing them/having them interact with others. They are more or less meaningless beyond that.

The premonitions can show you things that are going to happen no matter what or things that might happen (depends on the premonition). Even in Until Dawn, which had more of them, the premonitions never seemed to matter or give you actionable information (one or two might, but that is it), and they do not seem to matter here either (they really did not in Man of Medan either, from what I remember).

Think of that stuff as "flavor" more than anything, I suppose, and things you can ignore if you want to.

@ybbaaabby: I would have loved to have seen this as a side-by-side so we could see the differences in real-time.

@superslidetail: yes, but he's more famous for other roles (we're the Millers, Detroit etc).

Because I wanted to see what these views would look like side-by-side, I went ahead and edited a version that way myself. I hope GB, Vinny, and Abby don't mind.
