Has anybody written down the rules to make this a bit easier to follow?

I'm getting a lot of Mario Party vibes from this new series, I don't know how I feel about this guys...

This is great. DK64 is like I remember, except that I didn't remember the draw distance problems.

I like Abby's initial reasonable assumption that this was going to be a platformer, like every Donkey Kong game has been before and since. And I also like that Dan made wacky Mario Party items first without knowing the ridiculous amount of collectibles. Part of me hopes it smooths out but the other part of me hopes it just gets crazier every episode. I didn't know the difference between banana medals and coins either.

This is gold guys, please keep it up

That intro was fantastic! I loved the reveal of the shop!

Watching the actual gameplay almost sent me into an existential crisis. My memories of the game are not matching up with what my eyes are showing me and it hurts.

I kinda miss being a dumb kid and not having a concept of framerate. This game just chugs all the time, huh? Yeesh. I remember building missile boats in Armored Core 2 and thinking it was really cool how the game went into slow motion when you fired 20-some missiles so you could admire your huge volley... Armored Core 2 does not have a slow motion feature. :(

That's a lot of rules. Dan should do the entire rule explaination live each episode, so new viewers won't be lost and to refresh everyone else's memory.

I hope this isn't a feature where the game is just being dumped on the entire time. We get it, it's a game on the Nintendo 64, obviously there are going to be issues. It's still fun as hell to watch.

Boy I really would play just any bullshit back in the day, huh? Really did not remember it being this terrible. I think I mostly bought this for the Expansion Pak back in the day and multiplayer Perfect Dark was way worth it (please do not do a Die Another Friday style show on Perfect Dark and ruin my memories) so whatever.

If you'd ask me what happened in the game itself, I'm not sure I could give you a coherent answer. But despite being overwhelmed, I did enjoy it and I do love the dumb props they've set up.

I wonder how this is going to rotate with the RE4 playthrough though, if this'll be a wednesday show and fridays are reserved for Vinnyvania. New spot on thursdays or just tradings spots with Vinnyvania? I guess they only do have maybe 2-3 episodes left on RE4, so maybe it's not really an issue.

Mmm seems... idk. There was a great manic energy to the opening portion but then they have to play DK64. Not really feeling it now, but wondering if it'll pick up down the line.

Finally, a long overdue return to the complete and utter nonsense that made me fall in love with this site a decade ago.

I feel like a normal playthrough of this game could be pretty boring but y'all found a way to make it engaging AF. Great job!
