Kinda bummed they're about done with the game, but it kinda seems like how this game goes. You get more and more efficient, and all of a sudden, you've got a pocket base in a shuttle and can clear through the last planets in a sitting. I do kinda wish they'd record more of the base building stuff, because that's all really what the game is, but it is pretty repetitive at this point in the game.

@brad

Loved this whole series.

To answer a question chat couldn't without me: The EXO request platform just shows outlines of resources it can accept, its just trying to prompt you that it wants compound or aluminium. Its not great UI design but its not a bug.

When I got to the point I could make RTGs, I made 8 or 9 and stuck them on a large silo B as my "Tower of Power" I would transport with me from planet to planet. Then starting with Atrox, I would stick the Tower of Power onto a large rover, navigate the surface to each of the mysterious structures to activate them (dropping purple beacons). I would use the open spots on the silo to stick research or whatever else I found along the way. I was doing this before resource canisters but there was an event to send packaged salvage up the EXO request platform.

When I was done, I would leave one of the RTGs behind to live on the rover (plugging the rover into that planet's grid when not in use) and then move on to the next planet taking a Tower of Power with one less RTG. Then the process would repeat until I lit all of them up and have a rover with an RTG on each planet/moon.

Edit to add: I was playing on Xbox with controller so I'm not sure the PC equivalent, but I did find that when you're in a vehicle, you can pull the camera back way more than when you're on foot. Unfortunately for me (at least when I played a few months ago), I kept having to click the stick a few times when I got back into a rover to cycle back to the "vehicle far" camera mode since it would always start me at the "on foot far" camera when I got in (it would go "on foot far", vehicle close, vehicle mid, vehicle far)

When I hit the point where I figured completing the satellite was the "end" of the game, I thought about what else there is to do. I'm not huge on the base building/organization, but I am very curious about using some of the random one off stuff, like the recreational canopy or the figurine platform. I have collected a few of the figures already and may just try to complete the set. At some point I assume I will consider myself to have done everything of note.
