Edit: Also you're not supposed to rinse your mouth after brushing, no food and drink for at least a half hour.

Jeff killing the vibe trying to rib Dan but it just came off as mean to me.

At the end of the podcast they bring up the idea that games need additional streams of revenue to make up for the cost of producing a AAA game. Is there anything that indicates that this is true and not just something people keep repeating for no reason? Sounds like something a horse armor salesman would say.

@dashibuya: well it was a single room office bathroom they all locked themselves in so it wasn’t nearly as egregious as just filming people at stalls.

Of course Twitch was going to go back on the ban. They can’t afford for this idiot that makes them a lot of money to go somewhere else. Business wins out over integrity 9/10 times.

I’m digging the atmosphere, story, and characters of The Sinking City but man that game is a technical mess, at least on consoles. A recent patch fixed the massive screen tearing that was the worst I’d seen this gen. I’m talking half the screen tearing up every time you moved the camera so that the devil’s hole that got fixed.

Unfortunately the game still has pretty bad stuttering because of a mandatory auto save that triggers anywhere from every 30 seconds to every couple minutes. Stuttering also occurs when the game streams data in which happens often because it’s an open world game and the game is horribly optimized.

Abby is right about pants if you look at Merriam-Websters definition of shorts. "knee-length or less than knee-length trousers". And before you comment about trousers they're defined as "PANTS sense 1".

Yes Vinny, you can travel from one world to another world and then go back home to your house in another world. It's not a problem. You can spend time at the new world, become a mermaid and then go home like that, that being said how practical life is back at home as a Mermaid I guess sort of depends on where you actually live.

When a world is added to the sims, it's just another area you can visit, you can always start a new game with your sims living in that world from day 1. Or if you so choose you can move your current sims there and continue your existing game. Or even play multiple households in a save file and have one family living in the island world and one family living elsewhere and then swap between them, any time a family isn't being actively played by you, they just live autonomously and the game will take care of them.

There's alot of freedom with how the game works and it can ultimately be described as a sandbox game with different sectioned off playgrounds to do with what you please.

I understood where you're looking at this from as my current playthrough is a household that doesn't currently have the money to move anywhere and has been an incredibly "grounded" playthrough. However that sort of playthrough is much less common than the usual power fantasy people go with by having all the money in the world, doing anything, going anywhere, being rich and famous, moving to a new area on a whim and so on. The game is very accommodating with cheats and such to let people play like that, which is fine.

So the Island world is just kind of a place for me to visit sometimes in game and see what's happening and just look at stuff, meet sims and then go home.

I wonder if that Lego Forza expansion will get a stand alone release at some point. Seems like it would do well with the Lego crowd that didn't buy Forza/have Game Pass.

Man i can't believe that the dudes are so wrong on shorts. Guess what that word means in full. Short pants. Like we don't even have a shortened word for it in my language. We say short pants & long pants. You guys dropped the pants part with the understanding that people would understand that it's a type of pants with an unique twist: They're short. Just like you do with the word Jorts. Shorts with a twist: They're also jeans! I guess people didn't get that memo :(

Oh and i really liked Vinny's perspective on the bathroom streaming. For your rinsing needs, you put your mouth under the faucet and just rinse with a mouth full of water. Easy, no cup needed, no time wasted.
