I finally got around to watching Harley Quinn and now my adoration for Ron Funches is off the charts. Best part of an incredible show. It's on both DC Universe and HBO Max, everyone who enjoys him on the podcast should check it out.

@bladeofcreation: I don’t know if a lot of companies are going to front the bill for a private office space when everyone is just working remotely from home.

@humanity: definitely. My guess is she wants to do more of her youtube stuff? I'm not sure those ever reached a view count to justify an office space though.

Obviously can only speak from anecdotal experience/knowledge but in the before times there were a LOT of "coworking" companies geared toward people doing WFH. Have a friend who took advantage of a local one quite often since it gave him the full start up experience of "I can get cereal and shitty k-cup coffee at any time of day" for not a lot of money per month. I thought he was an idiot and still do, but I am very much the kind of person who dislikes WFH.

Under lockdown those companies are desperate for any business at all. I know I have gotten multiple targeted letters in the mail (that I kind of suspect said friend of giving them my address for...) offering dirt cheap subscriptions and even dedicated space.

Could imagine something similar is going on here. Being able to re-paint it seems a bit wonky to me but there has definitely been an industry for table space and even micro-offices. Would not be surprised if we can see the vast majority of her office on her webcam feed and it isn't much larger than a cubicle would be. Doubt it is particularly cheap (new york) but can very much imagine a LOT of discounts going on.

Abby's mic volume was painfully high compared to everyone else's!

@shag: The volume levels in general were kind of all over the place. All the intro/outro music was barely audible, Abby was very loud, Jeff was at good listening levels, Ron and Alex were too quiet. Abby just needs to get a better handle on how to mix this stuff and honestly you learn from doing and she hasn't had to do it in the past few years since Vinny never takes time off.

The Analogue Pocket situation was not great. And I was one of the lucky people who got a pre-order. But I was definitely left hanging on that shipping calculator screen for way too long.

Has the Premium feed for the Beastcast changed? Second week in a row with nothing there, but Bombcast downloaded fine.

Abby is a great host, Ron is a great guest, and this was a great podcast.

Jeff's friends might be too "cool" for it, but Everybody's Golf is extremely good and the golf game of record for at least the last 5 years.

Have Funches on every week if that means it'll keep him off Joe Rogan's podcast.

Audio mix needs work on this one. Abby's mic is super loud and hot.

Jeff didn't mention it, but it's worth noting that there's no proper benchmarks yet for the 3000 series cards. And they're most likely gonna be sold out real quick and there won't be much stock probably until next year.

I watched Hoops on Netflix recently and Infinity Train on HBO Max, both featuring Ron's voice talents. Great stuff.

@sekou: I'll say up front that this isn't a dig at anyone. I get that audio levels are really important to a lot of people.

But nobody anywhere ever will be the only one with a complaint about a podcast's audio. This goes for all podcasts, regardless of how big or small they are. It's basically a law of the internet now.
