@birdsoul: They're coming at it from a "free with PSPlus" perspective, changes the value prop a bit than if they had paid $20 on Steam.

@birdsoul: It's free on PS+ so there's a pretty low barrier to entry. I enjoy watching it and seems like fun with friends.

I think this game is very fun with friends, but by yourself solo it's just boring after a few games. It's gotten very frustrating and stale for me really quickly. The things that are annoying are getting matched into the same levels multiple times as well as incredibly annoying team games that can be so lopsided and 50/50. The technical issues don't bug me as much since it's still a fresh new trending/hot game and everyone is piling on right now. The battlepass and shop/microtransactions are kind of trash to me and I agree with Abby that this game doesn't have the legs to go the distance. This will need dedicated support to keep it fresh otherwise it'll be the flavor of the month and forgotten. Currently right now the game is in maintenance mode and it's basically dead in the water for anyone trying to play it, why isn't there a playground mode to mess around in when servers are down? There are so many weird excluded features in this game and quality of life things that need to be implemented to really make this game mind blowing. Also I have come across the see saw level 4 times in a row now...I'm over it.

This game is a ton of fun when you’re getting an actual variety of mini games, but like Abby I keep getting stuck with the same games over and over again. I don’t know if they’re holding back certain stages because of server load problems or if they rotate stages in and out over time or what but I’m not seeing close to the 25 stages.

I played this on both Steam and PS4 and found the controls were especially laggy on the PS4 version, most likely due to the server issues. Jumping and moving took a millisecond or so longer than it should have and it made controlling the characters really frustrating. Steam version, at least for the time being, seems like the ideal way to play.

This was easily the least fun I've seen people have with this game across many twitch streams or youtube videos. I just don't even understand where some of the takes are coming from. Yes it needs to keep adding and changing games to keep fresh but I think even the devs have acknowledged that.

Some of the criticisms 3 days into the game seem just super unfounded tho. LIke its a free battle pass that people wont complete? OK? Abby you play fortnite and have never reached level 100 either. Why is that different except one is F2P with paid battle pass whereas one is $20 (or free on PS+) with a free battle pass. I just don't really even understand the criticism. Whatever tho, everyone enjoys their own thing...

@ig3tnasty: Realized I was mostly just critical of the video but wanted to add I think this game is a lot of fun. You definitely can get better at each game even though many have a large amount of variance which I think is by design. It's better with friends but I have had a lot of fun solo as well. Truly don't know what people want out of their $20 if this isn't enough.

I'm loving this game, have a victory on each of the final maps...but only 1 victory each lol. Was gonna play the hell out of it today but I keep getting the message that it's down for maintenance.

Great attempt at a video while the servers were as bad as they were...but Abby's advice is so bad for Gate Chaser...I come Top 5 nearly every time with a simple tip. Run at the pillars, then at the last moment go through the open door. There is only one set of gates that this doesn't work on cause the outer gates are on a much slower timer, so it's a lot easier to get stuck, I think it's the 4th set of gates. You should be able to get through every gate with minimal slowdown, including having a much easier time with the final jump.

@themasterds: You know Rorie moderates these comments right? He has to read this, He has to read that someone is publicly celebrating the fact he isn't on this video. Stop and think for a second before you post shit like this. There are constructive ways to provide feedback and then there is being a dick... you chose the latter.

@professorx86:People said the same thing about fortnite. I remember how bad an idea that game was. So buggy at launch and PUBG is still buggy good thing they failed. I remember how buggy GTA 5 was, and remember how it failed. Critics hated the online too. Glad the company execs docked the employees pay for such a failure. Shame that game should have come out running but just walked into a stride that made them billions. LOL

I've been having tons of fun with this game and have played entirely on my own so far. It's not a 4-hr session kinda of game, but I'll play for 45-1 a few times a day and have a blast. I love the feel of it and the personality of the thing. It has good hooks for them to easily add more to it in the future.

Also, regarding Abby's thoughts about it not having much room to get better (like other BRs) - I definitely think that's incorrect! I am way better now than when I started, consistently get to Round 3 or 4. Watching some other streams too, this is definitely the case as some people can consistently get crowns (not me yet tho).

Damn this game is sooo close to being great in so many ways. It feels like every direction they went in they fell just-short of something special.

Accessibility: Pretty much zero explanation needed to play the game! That's great! But, no nameplates, tiny near-invisible teammate arrows, no ability to swap specifically to teammates when spectating (in a <1 min game this is vital). Also we're in lockdown so almost no one is playing in the same room as their teammates.

Game Feel: I enjoy it when I'm playing it, but loading screens are insane for a game this compartmentalized (also, yes: why can't we move the falling guy!). There's no way this can't be optimized better. Feels like a quarter of the time I'm playing I'm in a loading screen.

Technical: Having zero confidence in being able to even finish a game without being dropped by connectivity issues is a problem (I'm aware that the game is more popular than the devs were prepared for, but that doesn't change that it's the largest issue with the game).

Art: Almost great. Seems cute, but the arms/hands are too big and it goes from cute to Gossamar (obviously this one is highly subjective). I do like the color pattern options.

I'm aware there were likely time constraints forcing them to release now, but this game should've been in the cooker a little longer. If the connectivity issues were the only issues I'd be fine pushing through and waiting for them to patch it, but I don't really think this game will ever be what I think it could've been. Missed potential.

They should just bring back 1 vs 100 already.

I have no doubt that this game will remain popular for awhile, but it has to be properly supported. I don't know of any current Devolver game that continues to be supported to this day. As of right now the servers have been down for this game on PC/Steam has been down for very nearly 24 hours now and they haven't implemented any system to show that players can't matchmake or do anything but sit idlely and wait. This also isn't exactly a battle royale game like PUBG, this isn't some ground breaking game that's going to change the gaming-sphere.

I think this quick look could've used some editing at the start. Or even just a do over. They spend like 15 minutes showing off server issues and not playing together.

This game looks so fun to watch. I hope it's as fun to play.

There's a lot to like about this game but yeah it needs to grow from here on out or it will be dead within a few weeks i'm afraid. And some of the games need work. Like that one where you jump from one rolling platform to another is painfully dull and you only screw up if you try to be fancy. Perhaps it would be more interesting if players were more of a threat to eachother. Or if you had to collect candies on the rolls and was therefore incentivized to not just camp out on the same 2 rolls the entire time.

Maybe there could be like a tournament every saturday. Presented by a live host as Abby said. It helps to make this game feel exciting and special when the game goes the extra mile to make it feel like a special occasion. Not many people would keep playing this for hours, but if they knew that every saturday they could show up and spend some time compete for the marbles in this wacky minigame collection against others, perhaps that would create somewhat of a HQ buzz.

But honestly, as a Takeshi's Castle fan, i kinda miss the mud. Mudrunner x Fall Guys please.

I really wish the first round wasn't always just an obstacle course. They're my least favorite levels and probably keeping me from getting into this game as much.

About the game: I think the main thing that happened here was how much hype this game got going into August about it being part of PSN plus. People seemed to be propping it up as the next Rocket League. It would been better to see it blow up over time. Now people are gonna play, experience server issues, and then be let down and forget about the game.

Every time Abby says mint tastes like toothpaste makes me lose it a little more. Toothpaste mint is much more chemical and there are so many varieties of mint. Mint chocolate chip is the ultimate ice cream flavor and I won't hear otherwise. Though cookies and cream could make an argument.

What Ben asks for about streamers being able to give a link out to viewers so they can join a match is a native feature that can be added to Stadia games, called CrowdPlay. I'm hoping Fall Guys comes to Stadia, and if it does also hope they can set up crossplay too.

I play "Dead By Daylight" pretty regularly, and the number of "420s" and "69s" still all over the place is weirdly heartening.
