It is a little crazy how hard it is to find PS5 and Series X, its understandable given the facts, but still crazy. And, I think for sure the inability for a customer to find a machine - or even feel they could - is depressing the console market. These new consoles, that are nearly two years old, seem like a hassle to purchase - real boner killer.

@monkeyking1969: anecdotally I can't help but feel you are right. I have always been a PC first gamer, but I've also bought every console on release day from 360-Switch, including Pro models. It was fun to be part of the hobby, have access to exclusives, and play the occasional "better on the couch" game.

Given the hassle finding new consoles I don't have either of them and I'm not trying. If I can't just get one on impulse suddenly I have to think about it... And then I think "why do I even need this thing when I have a 3090?"

Crossplay and even Sony porting to PC lately is just icing on the "why bother" cake

I got PS5 and Series X but I have only bought Xbone and X360 games and subscribed to game pass for three years... Waiting for those PS5 exclusives to drop in price to around 20-30eur range before I go for those. I'm not in a hurry to buy those. The reason why I bought PS5 so early was because its better PS4.
