I think #TeamBrad should be disbanded, after his questionable choice for GOTY.

Is Minerva's Den his #1?

'Cause I think Liar of the Shadow Broker is the better add-on.

Very good video Brad, a nice ending there going into your logic behind your final choice. My top 3 final games are pretty much the same as yours but just rearranged.

Frog Fractions has popped up on 3 different lists today. How is this first time I'm hearing any mention of it?

@MildMolasses: Because it's impossible to talk about that game without spoiling why it's special. It's a free browser game, just go and try it.

Maddening twists to this one! Not bad though, I can sympathize with your choices here Brad.

Damn it, I'm skipping a large chunk of Day One Recap because of the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC stuff at the end. Thanks Brad!

ok, I need an explanation, what really is the appeal of Frog Fractions?

I played about 5 minutes, failed and couldn't be bothered continuing; so I watched a playthrough - Is there that much appeal to a bunch of non-sequiturs and educational software nostalgia pandering (?)

Thumbs up on Dust: An Elysian Tail and Asura's Wrath showing up here because those games definitely won't be showing up in a lot of other people's lists. They will be on mine! Never heard of Frog Fractions myself!

While I don't agree with his number one choice, I've gotta give it up to Brad for making the thought behind it clear as day. Good show, Brad.

I do like his rational for his #1 pick. Great job defending your argument and I did like your analogy to The Return of the King and winning best picture.

Fuck you Brad. Getting me to play a goddamn Flash game.

And I'm usually on Brad's side for the final GOTY argument (even last year when I wanted SR3 to win but knew that Skyrim should), but I think this year I think I'm going to have to jump ship if it's more Mass Effect 3 discussion. I rarely agree with Jeff when it comes to story in games, but I think he summed up exactly what didn't work with ME3's.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck. I hate and love GB GOTY so goddamn much.

Interesting list. I'm kind of surprised that Halo 4 didn't make his list considering the way he talked about it on the podcast when it came out.

Brad said something about "going deeper", it's a clue.

Edit: didn't read your comment properly, so ignore what I said. But yeah, it's pretty great what they did with that game.

Frog Fractions is easily one of my favorite games of this year. It's a good example of what games can be aside from a series of objective markers and dude-shootin'. I know some people don't like it or whatever but it's an incredible, unique experience.

I am an enormous Mass Effect fan, meaning I bought ME3 and the first DLC day of release. I liked it but thought many aspects were inferior to ME2. Now gonna have to try and get the trilogy cheap on Steam and play a whole new PC run sometime, just as soon as I can get all the ME3 DLC in place for a reasonable price.

So frustrating.

ME3 isn't on Steam. Origin only...for now (maybe if they do a definitive version like with Crysis 2 and how that's on Steam)

I was really surprised at his number one, especially after the last podcast, but he does a decent job a justifying it with the return of the king analogy

Likewise. It seems crazy to give that a top slot, but I can't fault his logic. What it comes down to is what Brad experienced; missteps and bad business practices aside.

A fairly well rounded list overall. I really need to play Asura's Wrath someday.

Glad to see Asura's Wrath and Dust on here, I think the only other place they will probably show up is Patrick's top 10. Both awesome games in their own way.

If you agree with Mass Effect in first place then you're not allowed to complain about any piece of DLC, preorder content or chopped up games ever again.

I respect Brad's choice for his personal GOTY. Too bad EA and Bioware burned most of the fans at release. The lesson I learned was to stop buying Bioware's games until they hit the bargain bin. Wish I could have experienced ME3 as Brad did.

I don't see how liking the content of a DLC has anything to do with whether you agree or not with its pricing and sale model.
