I've been playing through this and as a huge Bioware/ME fan... I don't think this game is an atrocity that everyone made it out to be. ME2? No but it's not bad.

Man, this is a game I'd really like to watch Vinny play it all just cause of the game's jank and Vinny's history with jank.

The last five minutes or so when the game's bugginess meets Vinny's indomitable spirit and willingness to push games to the breaking point is simply glorious.

That could not have ended any better. Its too bad Vinny didn't get to meet the character that would have shown up had that mission actually worked, but man that was the hardest I've laughed all week.

I got stuck at the same spot. Left and came back later, had to fight the enemies again, then the one last generator to turn off miraculously was able to be interacted with. A shame that this happened.

I was sad when someone in chat only mentioned Clancy Brown as "the voice of Mr. Krabs from Spongebob".

Lol I'm sorry Vinny but your Ryder is hideous. You should go with Preset 1 face. It's an Asian lady and it actually looks decent in cutscenes and doesn't look as awkward.

Vinny, the Breaker of Games! Seriously, Vinny happened upon more bugs during two and a half hours than I did during my entire playthrough. And man, that main character's eyes! Her eyes!

@francium34:You're in for a whole lot more of that. I had a loyalty mission completely break and my closest manual save would cause me to lose like 6 hours of progress. Up until that point I had been doing literally everything. I had some other missions bug out on me but a restart usually fixed them. After the loyalty mission broke I said fuck it and immediately plowed through the remainder of the main missions to finish the game. I will not play anymore of this buggy ass game. If I can't actually finish all the missions now due to the bugged loyalty mission I see no reason to touch any of the side stuff.

The 2/5 review is 100% justified. I enjoyed it at first but so much shit just kept piling up. It goes far beyond open world jank.

I'm also a fan of the originals and I'm on the fence about whether or not I should recommend this to people who are still on the fence after all the negative coverage. ;-) I mean, I'm playing the game right now and I'm enjoying it, but there's A LOT to dislike, depending on your threshold, I guess.

I thought the framerate playing on my ps4 pro is perfectly fine, surprised to hear vinny complaining about it half the video

Ending was so good I had to watch it again.

It looks like the Anointed Vinny threw at 2:21 didn't die. His red enemy marker did not disappear after he hit the cliff. So a number of things could have happened. He could have fallen through the world geometry. He could have despawned for being too far away and the game did not flag it as a kill. Or he could just be having path finding issues trying to get back in to the fight.

In any case this game seems like a pretty big mess. Sad to see it come out in this state, though the writing seems like it needed more time in the oven too.

The combat powers look fun, but everything looks _real_ rough. :/

Well, this game is something else.

I have a real problem with the cut-scene that starts at the 33:00 minute mark. One of your main companions is shown shooting up a dead body. Then, when Vinny tells him he needs to calm down, he responds by shooting the dead body a few more times. This is some really fucked up shit. Not only is shooting a dead body a sign of some serious mental problems (that promptly go ignored), but the whole thing is played off as a joke. And again, this is one of your companions. Am I supposed to like this guy? Because I feel he needs to get a psych evaluation.

Given that this game seems like budget Mass Effect, I think it will be great for a $20 pickup during a lull. But dear lord, people weren't kidding about the issues in this game. Even in critical scenes where you'd think they'd have spent effort you have completely wrong facial animations, eyes moving around at random, and teleporting characters.

We're presented a scene where Ryder is told her dad is dead and sacrificed himself, she's been made the new hero of the mission, and there's some magic AI fused into her brain. With proper set up and execution that should be on par with Shepard being made spectre. Instead it comes out of nowhere, is barely explained, and is riddled with ridiculous animations that make it laughable.

This was my exact thought when he panned up to it. Like, holy shit, they just yanked that whole cloth from the opening of their other game.

Some people say that all those video's showing this game's bugs are exaggerating things, but I am looking at this video and every scene has something wrong with it. The general facial and body animations are just bad like some intern did a first pass making them and then a senior professional was meant to finish them but never did. Fugly.

So what happens to a planet's native flora and fauna when you "scrub the atmosphere"?

Holy crap the ending to this was incredible. Like I continue to be amazed that this game got released in its broken ass state. Then again, even if it was technically competent, all the writing would still be hot trash. This should easily win Most Disappointing and Hottest Mess come year's end, unless something worse comes out.

On a somewhat related note, how much money do I have to donate to make a Vinny/Alex playthrough of the Mass Effect Trilogy happen, or at least a playthrough of the first one? Have Vinny play, just so Alex can at least experience all the dialogue and storyline stuff. Dan can come too I guess, though this video definitely reminded me of how good the Vinny/Alex pairing is.

There is something different about Dan. Has he been working out?
