Playdate: Until Dawn: Part 01

This video started out with a way too high "hot minute"s per minute, and unexpectedly from both Alex and Vinny. Glad it calmed down.

Its called water hammer when hot steam hits water in the pipe. Sounds exactly like what it did in the basement.

Not sure why the crew is so positive about the facial animation. This is basically Uncanny Valley: The Game. Was half-expecting the feature to be titled 'Until Frown'.

Loved playing through this game and I really really hated Emily and tried to get her killed whenever I had the chance.

However: after all of the stuff she goes through in the mines I felt kind of bad shooting her in the face for no reason.

More of this please.

Is there not some sort of FTP server thing, where they can re-upload the file from home to the server? Considering how they operate, seems odd there wouldn't be something like this in place.

Is something wrong with the sound or is all dialogue in this game spoken through multiple telephonelines?

Mary is mellow, Alex is antsy.

It rathers seems kinda arbitrary. What possible logic action could you have taken to save the twins? To me it didnt seem like Alex failed anything that has to do with difficulty or reason when they just suddenly died.

It's the actual stream data, so it won't work on the roku app (I wanted to watch it there too). It also won't save your video spot, so be careful.

I'm pretty sure in the case of the twins, There is no way to save them. That is the prologue and it sets the whole story in motion. It'll make sense by the end of the game.

All the voice acting in the game sounds like that. It's even worse if you listen on a surround sound system where all the voice acting comes right out of the center speaker without blending with the other audio. (from my own experience in game, pretty sure this video is only stereo.)

There's a section on the Supermassive Games website that has a FAQ for Until Dawn that references the muffled audio, but i'm pretty sure it's a situation where only certain people will notice it.

Too bad cause all the other audio in the game pretty fantastic.

Cant watch this on ps4, other vids work fine. Id really love to see this, is possible to fix?

I'm assuming they can't be saved. Stormare does say immediately afterwards that there's nothing you can do to change the events of the past, your decisions only matter going forward.

I hope you can fix the archive of this soon. :(

I've played through this game already, but I am really excited to see The Beast get through this.

Side Note: I love these Playdates. It's been a great show so far, and it is a nice way to put an end to the week. It's also a nice change of pace from some of the other stuff from the site where the team or one of the editors says "You know, I really want to play this game today." It's also a great way to tackle things like Until Dawn and Contradiction earlier this year, or maybe some other shorter or story based games (like maybe something like Life is Strange or one of the Telltale games?). The Crusaders episode was also really good, but I kind of like the idea of a full playthrough series or mini Endurance Runs. Whatever game the guys go with, they always seem to pick the right one.

Keep up the great work guys!

@dg187: I had the same problem. Was playing it with my cousin and his wife and I was the only one who saw her in the background. Had to go to a playthrough on youtube to show them just so they believed me.

Really cool! Excited to see you continue this, really like Alex as the guy playing. I feel like it is making him a bit uncomfortable, which makes this even better when shit hits the fan.

You don't want to take your boots off in a building that is likely sub zero. It has been sitting dormant for who knows how long.

I hope Vinny hasn't forgotten this still needs to be fixed.

It wouldn't be the first time. Prepare to be disappointed. He's a busy duder.
