Everything here was great. The only thing I would have liked to see is some other people with Phil Spencer like last year, but I know that is the kind of person you don't have much time with and you get more by having him on his own.

Lorne Lanning is like the best dude. I wish Oddworld would get to make an actual new game, not a remake or remaster. Stranger's Wrath in 2005 is the last actual proper new game that's come out of them.

Phil Spencer is a really cool guy, with great values. Too bad the console he is trying to sell doesnt reflect that in any way.

Jeff is killing it like always. He is great at both the funny banter and the deep interesting discussions and keeping a balance between the both.

Phil Spence is always awesome. He just seems like such a genuinely nice guy and how open and insightful he is when talking about Xbox and the industry in general is awesome. The Xbox one X is not for me, but hearing Phil Spencer talk it makes me really root for it to do well.

What does this even mean?

@grimluck343: No idea. If anything the Xbox has been the most consumer-friendly box of the three, especially since back compatibility launched.

I still have quite a bit of site content to get through. Just wanted to take a moment to say that @alex is an absolute hero for booking all these amazing guests. I don't envy anyone being interviewed by @jeff because the man is one of the most charming individuals in the entire internet with a disarming sense of humor to boot. He's so awesome for keeping this site going for as long as he has when he could easily carve out a comfortable career doing voice-overs instead of catering to us ingrates and our love of vidja games. Thanks for the website a keep up the great work.

Really isn't any reason to buy unless you really love the interface or its the only way to play with your friends

And Patrick, as great as Hidden Agenda may be, it's nowhere near as good as the game of trying to guess how many times the word "Vita" will be mentioned in the main show, the reason why Giant Bomb knew nothing of this game (I believe Ben said "This game doesn't matter" at the time).

I think many of the criticisms of the Sony conference were addressed in the pre-show (the indie games coming to the platform, etc), but Sony just did a bad job of communicating that the pre-show, for the first time in E3 history across all companies, was actually worth watching, with a ton of announcements (along with people introducing them and talking about them!).

How does the price or the fact that you can play first party on PC mean the X goes against Phil Spencer's values?

Does the audio seem weirdly compressed (as in put through a compressor, not digitally compressed) to anyone else? It kind of reminds me of watching a live action Nickelodeon show.

Are these shows just better than they've ever been? I looved Xavier's segment.

Soulstorm seems to be a retelling of Abe's Exoddus, but appears to be taking a vastly different tone to those original games and should hopefully scratch the "actual new game" itch. Really looking forward to hearing more about what that game is going to be, the much darker tone seems really cool based on the teasers so far.

Great interview with Phil Spencer. It is great to hear him get to go deeper into things and get a peak behind the reasoning of different aspects of his role in gaming. Keep booking him for this stuff (or even more like this)

they maybe should have tried to hit the $400 mark for business reasons but it was probably unrealistic with the hardware they're offering, i wouldn't be surprised if they're still selling them at a noticeable loss.

Day 2 was a real step up. Great.

I really enjoy the Phil Spencer stuff. There has not really been the opportunity or maybe even possibility for this kind of relaxed talk with someone like the head of Xbox in the past I suppose, but I have to say there's no video game exec type I have ever seen who seems more normal, genuine, or respectful than Phil Spencer.

The little bit at the end where he said thanks to them and how much he enjoyed it was just a show that the guy really respects everyone else doing their job and honestly that he does actually care about delivering fun and good games. He really seems like he is just out there doing what he can to put them in a good position to allow the best games get to more people.

When he does take issue then with what Sony said for example on Minecraft safety I mean I tend to take the guy really seriously that he does care on that because he is not out there acting like Sony does not exist and he does give them credit.

Lorne is always great to listen to as well.

I haven't seen much of Samoa Joe outside the ring but he is a cool guy. Nice to see.

Overall this was a very good night of guests.

Phil Spencer continues to be a real class act, and I love it when he's on the show. Always seems like a genuinely good guy trying his best to steer this ship with the consumers best interest in mind.

I have mad respect for that interview with Phil Spencer, it hasn't changed my opinion on Xbox One but this really gave such raw insight into exactly how this man is thinking about his company's future as well as consumer interest and it makes me wish that maybe one day E3 and other events like it will be more transparent with their consumers because Phil is actually talking to us like a human being and not a corporate suit and I just want to say thank you so much Giant Bomb and Jeff Gerstmann at the helm for making an interview like this possible because no one else in this line of work is doing it.

I had an xbox360 and fell off the microsoft train during the xbone era. I'm not sure the X is really for me, but i really have to tip my cap to phil and his passion for the industry. Always a joy to hear his perspective!

Man, that was a fun show. Cool guests, fun conversations, and hilarious moments made it worth staying up for this!

I have seen this sentiment much more with the general populace than I did with the press. Heck, just look at the video for GB talking over the 2016 Sony conference - there are a lot of comments heaping praise on the conference, while the staff had a more lukewarm reception.

Once again, the E3 content alone makes the price of Premium worth it (and it's available free!). Thanks for continuing to be the most fascinating website about video games on Earth.
