i remember jason being diabetic. bbq sauce contains crazy amounts of sugar. stay healthy man!

Yeah, you would want an actual lemon for the berries to be noticeable. Lemon candies are already sweet, so it won't make much difference. They're a neat thing but not going to completely change the way everything tastes, only alter certain flavours.

And then jason spent 4 hours in the bathroom.God I felt sick watching that.

@mortal_sb: He's Type 1 I believe. A good shot of Insulin will fix him right up. Dan is the one who needs to worry if he is Pre-Diabetic.
Wish my brother let me keep his old Vectrex. Used to play it all the time as a kid.
great camera work Drew
goddammit this website is beautiful

Awesome mailbag. That Vectrex is sweet, I kinda want to get one now! Jason, I hope your stomach felt already after all of that BBQ sauce, lol.
@riptheveins: Was it Sweet Baby Ray's, though? Ray'll treat you okay.
The mad man!
A Vectrex showed up on a local swap Facebook page a year ago, but I didn't have the required $350 at the time.
That was the manliest thing I've ever seen.
@drew You nailed it with the camera work, that's a master-class.
One of my friends had a Vectrex multicart way back in the early-mid 90s and it seemed like witchcraft to me. I had one for a long time but I hardly used it because the buzzing drove me crazy and I only had the one game. Left it behind with a lot of other junk the last time I moved which I regret only because the price seems to have quadrupled in the last 10 years. Vector graphics are so much cooler in person than emulated though, makes me want to start looking for a Gravitar machine.

MAN I miss vector machines... MAN!
Why can't Dan eat sugary stuff?
JASON YOU ABSOLUTE MADMAN
I just looked up the caloric content for a bottle of sweet baby rays. Any guesses? 2,170 cals. 8,990mg sodium. 496g sugar. ALMOST 500 GRAMS OF SUGAR!

Why can't Dan eat sugary stuff?
Because after a life time of eating like a 6 year old he's been told he's on the verge of full blown diabetes.
Man, that ending was downright cinematic. Excellent work as usual, Drew.
Also, a whole bottle of Sweet baby Ray's? That's not a challenge, that's a treat.

@unastrike Dude. I hope you were ok after that. Also, the miracle berry stuff really does need to fully disolve before it works (it's actually the time aspect, not so much the disolving). It also is for stuff that doesn't already contain massive amounts of sugar (like Taco Bell sauce). Drew's suggestion of a lemon was spot on, it'll make it taste like lemon candy instead of super sour/bitter.

Christ, Jason.... you're a monster
The Vectrex is awesome. I know a guy.
Barbecue sauce on the carpet guys. Do you want ants? Because this is how we get ants.

So Jason just drank roughly 4060mg of sodium and 224g of sugar right there. If you were curious like I was.
"I don't understand why this tablet that's supposed to change the flavor of sour and bitter things isn't affecting the taste of salt and sugar!"
When I was in Primary school (elementary school I guess?) they would have a youth club thing on Friday nights with a Vectrex set up with Mine Storm. Loved playing that, had no idea what the game was called or the system til this video. I should ebay vectrexes.
People don't do this
Eating/drinking any kind of sauce condiment on its own is gross. I'm amazed Jason agreed to that.
I have two Vetrexes (Vetreces?) at home. As a kid, I really wanted one (but I was happy with the C64 I ended up with) so of course as an adult I had to have one in my life.
Fortress of Narzod is a great game for it; a while back I mocked up a shirt design based on it...
That camera dunk was cathartic D:

I have really strong memories of playing a Vextrex in my dentist's office when I was little. Weird thinking back, that they had one in their lobby.
