@midgetforsale: i sure as hell do too, but i'm also so happy they're carrying on so well. i'd say this pax and the RR signals a sort of renaissance (not like GB has ever really faltered...)

I have Formula D. It's a really good family game, just works in most settings like that. It's sort of a risk reward thing, you can shift into 4th on the short straight, but that means you might be going too fast in the turn. Each gear is represented by its own dice, so if you're 8 squares away from the turn, and you're in fifth and your dice goes from 10-17 or whatever.. you're fucked.

Pretty cool game. SO easy to get too eager and mess up a corner. There's pitting also. And the backside of the board is a more future-like death rally style track. No combat, though. House rules for that part ;)

I'm glad Soda Drinker Pro exists, because it's the perfect example of a dumb joke being taken too far because no one in a position of power said "no".

I just looked up Steel Beasts, the simulator Drew mentioned, and it says that various armies use customized versions of it for training purposes. I think we need a flight club quick look.

I don't know, I think the fact that it's supposedly getting kinect support is pretty funny, but I agree, I think this is just an example of a joke being taken way too far.
