Hey everybody it's tuuuueesssdaayyyy

So late I'm not re-upping my subscription. This podcast is easily the best podcast ever and is ostensibly the best thing this website produces. Making it show up at regular, predictable times should be priority one. I don't watch the premium videos so I'm not sure what I'm even paying you guys for. Please, get it right.

It is predictable. Every Tuesday. Please tell me I am being trolled.

Also, you are very sure what you are paying for; the podcast. Every piece of content requires money. The premium stuff exists to get people TO sub. They are like a "thank you" for willingly giving a bunch of dudes money to have a website run the way it is. Also, if you watched I Love Mondays, you would know that Ryan was not in on Monday, so they probably had to record the cast today. Thus it shows up at a specific time. They are not robots, stuff happens. Deal with it (if you can even call this "dealing") or do something else.

Obviously you don't know what you're paying for, seeing as the podcast is free. Threatening to cancel your subscription because the podcast is a few hours late is the equivalent of demanding your money back at the drive-thru because they forgot to give you napkins.

actually there aren't that many variables to recording podcasts in general once you know what you're doing

double check the audio levels and make sure things are right and since a good portion of the bombcast is fluff talk anyway you don't have to worry so much about trimming it down or censoring it

still takes a while to do if you're thorough and if the podcasts are long, but it aint rocket surgery and it isn't as complicated as you'd make it out to be. I've done podcasts before, arguably the most tedious part is setting up the equipment.

In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since.

"Whenever you feel like criticizing any one," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had."

But you still have to make time to perform post-recording audio work and making sure that things are in order. If you're recording podcasts that are routinely hovering around three hours in length, that's a good chunk of the work day right there, and it doesn't account for other items on Ryan's agenda.

Thank you. Also take into account they've made over 300 of them. One would hope they've gotten good at it by now.

I know it sounds like a mountain out of molehills but last week was super early an the week before that was "late". Just pick a time/deadline and stick to it so that your consumers aren't waiting around at work wondering if it'll release before the commute home.

Why is that picture not lined up so the spinning cassette reels are on top of the car's wheels?

I honestly don't understand how they have TIME to be recording 3 hour long podcasts since they're apparently hating on every console at once while ALSO being slavish fanboys to all of them!

anyway, I'm not the one criticizing them for being late; I don't care as long as I get it. I pay an annual subscription not for the premium content but just to show my support for the podcast/quick look content

Ryan's perspective on the Playstation press conference is spot on.

Let's not let that take away from the original post though...

Dunno how it's "late' considering it's still Tuesday (I understand time zone differences, but it is still Tuesday here in the US) so how is that late?

@brighty: Vague buzzwords? I was being pretty clear. After recording is complete, Ryan has to go through and make sure that the audio is even, insert music tracks, maybe make an edit or two (there have been times when obvious edits were made), and generally clean it up into a presentable state. It's not like he just throws the raw audio into the ether and magic occurs.
