I'm all for more Overwatch chatter.

Oh my goodness :O

I'm so surprised how much the Bombcast likes Overwatch while they didn't like MNC or Super MNC. Other than the lack of bots both games are very similar in features and gameplay.

What is the magical element that makes people like one over the other?

@wandrecanada: I think MNC/SMNC did not design their game as tight as Overwatch did. Since it had character lock and a level system it means mistakes get drawn out against you over the entire match. And since both are mirror objective it has the chance of stalling in the middle as no one side gets the minions to progress to the opposing goal. This is the same dynamic that makes CTF boring in Tf2.

Those are good arguments. I'm still surprised that the guys are exclaiming their love for character mechanics and playstyles that seem ripped right out of characters they proclaimed their distaste for in SMNC and MNC. The healer and engineer are prime examples of this. (Granted Jeff hates everything)

Anyone having issues being able to see this one one a podcast app? I'm using Pocket Casts and its still saying that the May 24th Bombcast is the newest one.

I don't do sitting meditation, but I try and work it, or similar principles into my exercise regimens. I am on a local rowing team, which means I train on an ERG, which is one of the most boring exercises imaginable. Sometimes I listen to music or audiobooks and sometimes I try and practice a sort of meditative reflection while I row.

@wandrecanada: accessibility, and probably the variance of characters. MNC had quite a bit more moba in its dna, and imo was more demanding of a game to play.

I would very much not buy those loot boxes. Despite them being a gambling rip off, I agree with what jeff says in this. It takes away a lot of the fun "progression"

I haven't even listened to this yet, but I know this is gonna be good. You know what, we give Sonic flack for kissing a human girl in Sonic 06, but Crash has done worse things judging from that thumbnail alone.

@drewbert I said it last week, but the watcha been playing segment music is messed up! you should check out an old podcast and see what I mean.

I think some things can be tweaked to a point that pushes over from bad to good for people, even Jeff. in TF2 you were much more campy as both medic and engi. Overwatch Mercy has her glide which means your mobility is much higher, and the ult makes for interesting counterplay than uber. Torb is very deadly on his own and is more of a complement to his turrent rather than Engi and his nest.
