Giant Bombcast 08/05/2014

Hearthstone wouldn't work as a physical game cause of all the random elements. Cards like Thoughsteal or Mind Vision wouldn't work. Other cards like Sense Demons would be super cumbersome as well.

Yup. This bombcast was a delight to listen to. Now if only they could get John Drake and Matt Kessler on at the same time. Hopefully with Jeff present.

Dan's need to call everyone an idiot or dork is getting mildly irritating. Good show though, especially the surprise ending after the credits.

Although I have to say I genuinely felt sorry for Dan with the glasses story. There was something in his voice there that really grabbed me. Also, sort of a dick move to bring it up if you already knew the story ?

The very LAST person in the world that should ever think they are right about anything is Danny R. His lack of humility and close-mindedness is off putting. Everyone can believe what they want, say what they want. But to be so smug and sure they are right when so often totally mistaken is excruciating. Anyone that thinks egg whites are egg shells should be open to other's views. Not to just agree, but to acknowledge they can have them. I see no evidence of that from Dan.

Dan truly is history's greatest monster, and i love him for it. :)

really? Brad had to replace the ad at the beginning too? power trip much? I really wish Jeff would take it back over. He's too combative when you don't agree with him..like he takes everything personally and almost attacks you. Still remember when Vinny disagree'd with him on something..think it was some nintendo game..whatever..Brad talked to him like he was an idiot just because he didn't like what Brad did. Really not a fan of him running the bombcasts.

I disagree with you on some of this, but definitely not all of it haha. He's replacing the ad because he's hosting, and Jeff isn't there. It's not a power trip, and I'd be willing to bet it was Jeff's idea to have Brad host and I love it. It opens Jeff up to be crazy-Jeff again, and keeps Brad awake/talking about shit that isn't Dota.

To your second point, holy shit I do agree with you. His steadfastness during the GOTY debates about how Dota was the "objective" number 1 game was ludicrous, and I almost stopped listening for that reason. I think the argument to which you are alluding was the Best DLC debate in 2010 (or at least that is one of them). He basically refused to give Vinny (who wanted Lair of the Shadow Broker) any headroom when arguing and they ended up settling with Brad (Minerva's Den) to just move the podcast along.

I love Brad, but his stubbornness is tiring sometimes. Nevertheless, love him in this role!

I don't remember much about Supermarket Sweep but they show Shop 'Til You Drop on GSN now, and it is just the worst thing.
