Damn you, Ryan! Burn Cycle is amazing and it's baffling that you can't enjoy it considering the weird crap you tend to like. I really hope Vinny and Dave return to the game since it's not long at all and it has a fun story twist lined up.
Ryan probably agrees that Burn Cycle is amazing, but it doesn't mean it isn't fucking terrible all at the same time.
Burn Cycle is pretty cool, but it's really just poor man's Johny Mnemonic game. If he actually brings it in next week now that would be a blast. Hope they don't get stuck on the stupid fighting part.
Double Dragon Neon is awesome. Reviews like Jeff's that are like "I hate this because it's not like the old Double Dragon, but I would hate it if it was, too" are just silly. I feel like what's there is different than the old double dragon, but straight up a lot of fun that feels Double Dragon to it's core.
This is just like Jeff's "I hate new transformers" thing.
The next Fallout game will take place after the Pizzapocalypse in Petaluma and tells the story of a man's never ending quest to find a major pizza chain that will deliver pizza to his house.
I actually have the same problem as Vinny with the Microsoft Xbox 360 receiver and I actually use the tin foil "fix". I have a piece of electrical tape holding the foil over the fuse, works for the most part, but is still frustrating when the tape loosens up and it stops working.
Man, whenever someone mentions Craig Ferguson I get super excited. He's an excellent comedian and by FAR the best late night host. I mean, no one else is actually good, but he's fucking brilliant. I love his show.
Agreed, Craig is hilarious! I honestly wish they had him guest on the BLLSL3 and show him that there's even lower budget CBS productions :D
I only watch it very occassionally, but he really is the only late night guy that's any good at all. If he was on the Live Show, though, it would probably just be really weird and confusing, and most likely not in a good way. Clash of the hosts sort of thing, different styles of humor, etc.
I just wanted to say I stinking love beat-em-ups. Hate when they get dogged on so hard by the Bomb Crew/rest of the Internet. That aside, great Bombcast as usual.
I...think I'd be one of those people that'd be interested in a Valve box that plugged into the TV. I've given up on PC gaming except for small, non-system intensive stuff for years now. Just got tired of dicking around with my computer for X amount of time just to get a game to work. I can recall epic struggles to get games working on my PCs...and the funny thing is looking back on that and being like "I spent HOW long getting Far Cry to work...shit." That's really the main appeal of consoles for me, theyll play games with a minimum of fucking around/
I like that they responded to that email about the 2 best final fantasy games to play and the 2 best zelda games to play I was entirely in agreement with there choices. The Final Fantasy choices particularly I agreed with. And any choice without A Link to the Past is just wrong for a Zelda game.

I was just watching some random old show of his yesterday and I found his jokes to be oddly similar to the silliness that Jeff and Ryan sometimes produce, though. :)
Best pizza in Petaluma is the pizza bread at G'n'G. Cold, in the deli section, topped with the contents of dented cans of mushrooms and end cuts from the deli. It is cheap and efficient. Best with a quart of Coor's banquet beer which is always on sale at G'n'G.
I know that what is said on the Bombcast is often not very accurate, but I do actually have to call out Patrick for saying that Randy Pitchford and the rest of the Gearbox team gave out free copies of the PC version of Borderlands 2 to the attendees of their PAX panel last year as an attempt at a make-good for making a lackluster PC port of the first game. This is not true.
First off, they didn't just give out the PC version of the game. They allowed attendees to choose between all three versions of the game.
Randy Pitchford actually explained to the audience of the panel that the team had to pull a lot of strings with 2K to get this giveaway to happen, and they did so because they wanted to show their fans that they at Gearbox really appreciate both them and all the support they showed for their games. And while they might feel bad that a lot of people were disappointed with things like the UI and GameSpy integration in the PC version of the game, to say that the giveaway is solely or mainly an apology rather than a show of thanks to fans is both overly cynical and a slightly insulting misrepresentation of what was easily one of the craziest things anybody has ever done at PAX.
I will buy that shirt! maybe other colours than hot pink tho :P
BTW Patrick the crossover games are usually the biggest in the tournament scene, MvC2, MvC3, CvS2 and there is no reason Tekken x SF won't be big. SFxT failed due to a lot of factors, with the main one being it wasn't AE :P
In Tekken Jeff the big combos aren't impressive thats just standard, you need to learn movement and frame punishes so they never get that first hit. Tekken is all about movement and mixup, the big damage combos can only occur after moves like launchers so look out for them. Unfortunately being good at Tekken requires you to learn about the frames of characters and treat it like a school test.
Can the people who do this podcast remember the format they are working in. They will talk about something for half an hour but only say the name of the subject once at the beginning. Then they use pronouns. Please refer to the subject by its full name occasionally so I don't have to rewind for a half hour to figure out what you are talking about when I get back into my car. This episode it didn't really happen but overall it happens a lot. Thanks for the great show.
Hey Vinnie the guy I work with is an electronics engineer (more an instruments man myself) and has a bunch of info, schematics, code, etc. For his arduino projects. his site www.ianjohnston.com
Reason I'm posting this he's really friendly guy and always supports and helps anyone who emails trying to build one of his projects, good links to but probably know then all. His last two projects I think was that balance two wheel thing whose name escaped me and a quad copter which is pretty neat with hd Cam mounted saving to sd card.
Anyway, good luck with the electronics, careful though or you'll soon have your own home workshop (although possibly still not married long enough to reach that yet)
