@teddie: Destiny is so fucking huge, TTK was the biggest DLC in PSN history or something. I'm enjoying the game, but understand why others don't. Also, Dan is getting into it now so expect more discussion - it's not just Brad who plays it like with DOTA.

Yessssss. I've tried both and didn't care for either but am still fascinated when he talks about Dota, and the passion he has for it when he does.

every time they talk about destiny it seems like they just keep playing it hoping to convince themselves its awesome now but then they just complain about this or that. I wonder if Bungie is making any money off of this thing given how expensive it was to make (supposedly).

From my memory n64.com was part of Imagine Games Network along with SaturnWorld.com and PSMOnline.com, I don't think Imagine had a Nintendo print magazine hence the n64.com name.

Peer ran Nintendojo before moving to IGN. I think Nintendo bought/sued/or asked nicely for the n64.com domain and at that piont they chaged their site to IGN64.com.

Man no matter what this Destiny game keeps making the headlines. I wouldn't want to be in Jeffs shoes, having to talk Destiny against his will... its just a game I know is not for me and it really doesn't boil down to the gameplay. There is nothing interesting there after you have done it a few billion times... problem is THAT IS ALL LOOT GRIND GAMES!!!

For those wondering Shadowplay uses MPEG-4 AVC.

Personally I prefer OBS + Virtual Audio Cable because you have more options and I can get better mic audio out of it (not sure why it is Shadowplay degrades my mic quality). Shadowplay is great though for those who just want to use something they can open up and have just work.

Also I actually kind of wish I could buy a CoD game in parts. I would probably be willing to throw down ~$30-45 for just the multiplayer on PC. But $60 for something I don't plan on sinking a ton of time into is kind of a deal breaker.

Wow hearing about the destiny stuff its LITERALLY just sounding like an FPS World of Warcraft raid-wise. You need the right item level (or whatever the Destiny equivalent is, I'm drunk and not paying attention). It's gear checks and necessary communication and I get that that might be annoying but to me that makes perfect sense for a RAID. If it was too easy then there's no bragging rights or sense of accomplishment or getting to sit on top of the Orgimmar bank while noobs admire your gear. I may have a really warped sense of how things should be from being a hardcore WoW raider. I wish they could get Rorie on just so he could scoff at these decade old end-game MMO concepts.

I've not played either, but from what I do know of them, Destiny is sounding like WoW.

I'm kind of surprised everyone was so taken back by the mystery quests that Jeff was talking about. I don't really even play the game all that often and I've run into that about 4 or 5 times.
