I normally don't watch the podcast, just listen.. but I get the feeling this episode might warrant an exception.

9 people on the bombcast today and the video is only 1 hour and 48 min long. Me thinks this has to be a mistake.

Premium video cut off early and the free video had it's audio cut off after a long while. So both are down until they fix it. Podcast seems good tho.

Kinda happy the video(s) had issues, I haven't just listened to a GBW podcast in a while. I find it more engaging and easy to follow without the video component for some reason, but if the video is an option I feel like I should play it (mostly in the background) to support the endeavor.

I feel like the one thing people aren't mentioning with the idea of monetizing expensive videogames is that although development costs have gone up, the market also continues to grow and the industry continues to break sales records. Although this revenue is spread in a very diverse manner, traditional game publishers still brag annually about these kinds of records.

It's about to get real.

"The Fight for $70" ignores the fact that yes, inflation, and yes, games have gotten more expensive to make, but the average wage (at least for Americans) in the middle class have been stagnant since the 70's. The pushback for the Star Wars stuff shows that there isn't much wiggle room past 60. That is still a lot of money to most people.

just a comment about the Steam Link for $5, I was messing around with the apps on my Samsung KS8000 when it got an update this summer and noticed a Steam app was now available. I've used both of them wired and the TV one works better than the actual Steam piece of hardware. Might be worth looking into if you have a newer tv.

Everything they hate about Animal Crossing: Pocket Transactions is what I also hate about Fire Emblem: Please Empty Your Wallet. FE Heroes, like Animal Crossing PC, has the surface appearance of the series it is based on, but is then immediately soulless and lacking any of the charm, writing, characterization, or variety of activities that makes the series in any way good.
