This made me consider getting it.  Since "considering" is a relative position "higher" than zero, I am quite literally infinitely more interested in this game because of this podcast.

Whaddya know, I was just looking for something Mass Effect related to soak in.

I didn't plan this but I got time off just as ME2 releases...damn there is genius to madness.
 
A Bioware Star Trek game would be amazing but it would have to be based on the relaunched Star Trek.  I used to think the STNG was pretty good 3rd Season and after but I tired to watch it back to back on Netflicks with my wife (she grew up on it the way I grew up on real Star Trek) and I just couldn't get past the 6th season before getting bored to death.  Then I remembered that all of the STNG movies suck, not Star Trek 5 suck but a middle of the road, new age dull suck.  Until J.J. got his hands on the series Star 2,4 and 6 were the sweet spots.
 
I have to say I agree with Dave, I dig me some Patrick Stewart just not as a Frenchman that mysteriously has an English accent with a proclivity for English literature (a real French would be talking Voltaire not Shakespeare). Why when they cast him the role didn't they just update the character to being English?  They still have wineries in England.  Hell they could have updated it to a family pub in a small village.  Done.

Oh, man, a new Vandal Hearts game!  I was having a conversation with a friend like last week about Vandal Hearts.  He didn't know what it was.  Now, I'll have a better excuse to show him.

I like the questions focusing on the industry and background of the individuals in games. Made for intelligent discussion.

The talk about the suicide mission and how it works - the flow logic and if-then stuff - has me simultaneously psyched as hell to take on the Collectors, and horrified that one of my guys will die. Sounds effing amazing.

Nice podcast. I'm quite excited for this game, but I'm not sure I'll be able to afford it right away.

Is it Mass Effect 2's Day yet?

Not sure what I an say about the podcast.  I'm pumped for Mass Effect 2, but I was kind of bored listening to what the BioWare dudes had to say about it.  Tuesday, please.

He repeats something that's been circulating gaming news for a while now.  I'd say this is probably the biggest spoiler that gets dropped in the podcast.  I'm honestly a little surprised he says this, especially since he explicitly states that it's a part of the last mission in the game:

 One of the best 'casts I've heard in awhile. We're so close to the game's release that I don't care to hear too much more about it, but I did appreciate hearing Hudson talk about games more broadly. We don't get that very often. It's nice to hear a bit more about the creative process. It helps me better appreciate the work and thought that goes into the games.

I never played the first one, but this got me quite interested.

I finished the first game and I've managed to forget approximately 97% of it.  I'm glad that there'll be a recap at the beginning of ME2.

Going to brave the spoilers because I really want to listen to this.

Man, I want to listen to this so bad, but I've thus far avoided every piece of ME2 media that's been released. I'm going in entirely devoid of knowledge of characters, systems, plot lines, everything....BUT GOD DAMN IT'S HARD NOT TO LISTEN TO A GB PODCAST!
