This game is so great. I love everything about the styyyyyle and how nutso the enemy difficulty can get at max level. You guys should think about what you want the canonical fighting style for this series to be. Last time I played through this game I did nothing but kicks for all my moves and combos.

Really enjoyed this. These two have a great, relaxed vibe together. More please!

I think a God Hand cocktail would just be an AMF.

Drink idea. The god hand is powerful and looks yellow so I'd start with a lemon flavored vodka base. The surfer motif warrants one of those tiny umbrellas. Could probably use more than that, but that's my contribution.

I'm so into this, a feature where people are playing something they love is always awesome, good vibes all around! Game seems entertaining too! This is gonna be a great series! Tho the game definitely aged poorly in some regards and has some terrible scenes that were bad then and are bad now.

There are a depressing lack of Ball Busters in this video.

Super stoked you're doing this, God Hand is one of my favorite games that gets the least amount of recognition. Probably just because most people never hear about it - I never knew it even existed until someone recommended it to me. It's been surprising the recent coverage it's gotten, honestly. Super Best Friends did a let's play that just got done last week, and earlier in the year Turbobutton put out this sick video:

That's not a ton, but compared to the total lack of buzz God Hand usually gets, this is practically the year of God Hand. There's never gonna be a sequel, but I'm good as long as we can still play this one.

One of the YoutTube channels I watch (Super Best Friends Play) just finished a let's play of this a couple weeks ago. It is hilarious that the GB guys independently decided to do a play through of this crazy game as well.

This looks like a game I would personally play for months to end. I don't know the reason why it went past me, since I was a mainly a PS2 user and didnt adopt the PS3.

Yes Mam Kablam is probably the most useful move in the entire game and it really makes a lot of the more frustrating fights more bearable. It's not for damage. It's for building meter.

The trick is to dodge after connecting to cancel out of the rest of the animation. Builds meter like crazy.

Good job making it so far in the first episode!

You guys have GOTTA figure out to use the guard breaker, continuing to pound on guys that are blocking until they counter you is gonna get you wrecked pretty quick. Maybe re-map it to up+square since Ben keeps accidentally doing the launcher when he means to guard break. Also the duck dodge (right up on the right stick) makes you invulnerable to most attacks unless they are an overhead, when you screw something up and you're going to get hit, spam the hell out of that.

You can use the taunt to pull one guy out of a group to separate them.

Fun facts: 1. the KICK ME sign that she puts on your back in the second level flies off as soon as you use a roulette move or the God Hand. So it's there as a special challenge to run the whole game without using either.

2. The casino is called the Barely Regal. The bar in the third level was originally called Rord's Pub, and then when they realized the did the "L->R" accent joke twice, they renamed the bar to the "Beating a Dead Horse Pub" instead.

Quick finger-saving tip: during pummels, stomps etc you can mash any face button, not just circle. I used to just roll my thumb across all of them.

The GodHand:
A Bahama Mama but also add tequila
So rum, coconut run, tequila, grenadine, orange juice, pineapple juice, ice. Blend and serve with your non-God hand.

You can also move the stick around while stomping and it changes your position. I don't think it changes damage but it goes through a bunch of different animations and the cuts are hilarious.

Anyway, every time I see God Hand it seems kind of bad. The style and humor is strange and outdated, the gameplay looks repetitive. But something about this video... I could've watched them play this all day.

having never played this game but having played a couple thousand hrs in Absolver (which has a fat update in sept) the deck building similarity is pretty startling in concept and execution, crazy

I only ever beat this game with a Game Shark to have unlimited God Hand moves. Really helpful near the end of the game.
