It's games like God Hand and Vanquish that make me sad that Shinji Mikami doubled down on horror games, he's far better at making action games in my opinion. (Not to say that RE & TEW arent great)

I just thought of this dumb game the other day. I still get the "what are you, nervous?" enemy voice line pop into my head now and then. That and the camera clipping through walls and the (quite problematic by today's standards tbh) flamingly gay bosses in the third level (if I recall).

‘Breaking Jason’? I’m down for this. Hopefully Ben and Jason jump into Vanquish after this series. Man, I have fond memories of this game. Where’s the God Hand HD remaster already?

I can't fully explain it but the intrinsic nostalgia built into the act of passing the controller back and forth based on deaths really makes this work for me. There's like a casual weekend morning vibe to it. Probably helps that it's Sunday.

My fav game of all time. Me and a friend rented this and Monster Hunter for a night, changed my life.

This video is fun but you guys should really read the manual! This was the era where games still expected you to do that if you wanna know stuff like how to run. There's a lot of "built-in" moves that aren't going to be as easy to just figure out on your own. Also pro-tip, when it asks you to mash circle you can actually mash x and circle at the same time to do twice as much damage.

Fuck yeah my favorite PS2 game.

One of the bosses here (the one that has the other god hand or something? Can't remember the specifics. It's a guy that forces you to learn how to use the dodge system) is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to beat in a videogame.

I might not be into the game, but seeing Ben and Jason so excited is nice to see and made it a fun watch.

GOD Couch for the God Hand

Jason, Dan, some others from Game Informer, along with Aram Jabbari from Sony, played this and never got to go back to it. Thrilled to see this.

This game is like a bell curve. Starts incredibly difficult, gets easier in the middle, then there's a difficulty wall STRAIGHT UP that hits lategame.

This is my favorite Suda51 game.

I don't know about the 100 nuggets, I listened to them try it on doughboys and even a stoned John Gabrus tapped out without really getting close.

This was great!
