Also, this game looks beautiful!

For some reason this reminds me of Yellow Submarine. I feel like Blue Meanies should be jumping out from places.

Also, while I can recognize the objective beauty of the animation, the Yellow Submarine style has always creeped me out a little bit, so I don't think this is for me.

Just going to say this: Whatever wins for best music come next week, instantly gets annihilated by this game, because man the soundtrack is good, especially during some action heavy sequences.

This game is very much in the same vein as Journey and more recently Gebub's Adventure. Sedate, peaceful platformers.

Any screenshot from this game would make a fine desktop wallpaper or even a print. First thing I did after watching this was to check iam8bit.

"Gris" is the Norwegian word for "pig", so when i first saw the name of this game, i had something different in mind.

If Abby was wondering about real giant statues there's "The Motherland Calls" in Volgograd, Russia, the Statue of Unity near Kevadiya County, India, the Spring Temple Buddha in Lushan County, China and a whole bunch more. If fallen into ruin, I bet each would have giant hands to traverse over.

In Swedish "gris" means "pig". Just thought I'd let you know.

What a beautiful game! I was instantly captivated and I can't wait to try it! I thought for a moment as the music swelled at the beginning it was going to say "Music by M83". It sounds really, really nice :)

It's one of those "if you like what you see stop watching now" type of games.

I wonder if that shares some lineage with the word "gristle".

It's probably supposed to mean "grey" being a Spanish game, which makes a lot more sense if this is what you thought when you first heard the name. But if you saw "Gris" and immediately thought "pig" that's something entirely odd.

Right off the bat the music really reminds me of Endless Space which is a good thing.

No matter how hard I try, I can't NOT see this character as anything else other than a severed head attached to a cape. -__-

I'm starting to think that ruinenlust might be the second-most indulged feeling in videogames, right after general power fantasy.

This is in my top 10 of the year based on presentation alone; it's overwhelmingly gorgeous.

Man, this game is gorgeous, I just wish it had more going on.
I might pick it up on sale at some point, though.

Also, while the in-game animation is smooth, I wish the whole game looked as smooth as the opening cutscene, but that's probably asking a bit much.

I can't believe they'd give this game such a grossly offensive name. You can't say that on GameFAQs for God's sake!

I think I might be the only one here that isn't super into the art style of this game (I really liked the intro though.) The music is amazing though.

My least favourite aesthetic is broken rocks that just float there not doing anything. This isn't for me I don't think.

The cutscene had an awesome style to it, but as soon as the game started and the camera pulled out it looked like a very run of the mill 2d game. And while Journey was a fine game, i don't know if evoking that game in your game helps to give the game it's own face. Especially when the story is so ephemeral that Alex couldn't tell you anything about it. All that's left is a game that would be neat in a museum as visitors pick up the controller for 5 min and say 'wow, this artpiece is very interactive' and move on to the next artpiece ;)

Missed opportunity Alex, should have said "Rock Lobster"
