Was on the fence about the Steam Deck, but I'm gonna try to pre-order the top model tomorrow (if Steam lets me). Before watching this, was wondering if it was gonna be a gimmick or something, so I just needed a little push. Thanks, Jeff!

Jeff is just absolutely the best

This continues to be a great show! I really appreciate the variety of topics and the general brevity of this feature. I think it could probably benefit from the sort of on-the-fly video production work that Jan does on the Bombcast with topic-relevant footage etc, but this on it's own is real good. Hope it becomes a reliable staple on GB for however long you're down to do it, Grubb.

Are there any Loki spoilers in this one? My fiancé and I are watching through all of MCU again in release order, and we are only up to Civil War. Quite a while before we get to Loki, and have managed to stay spoiler free this far.

It's gonna be an interesting year for PC handhelds. I'm going to receive the Aya Neo soon and the Steam Deck at the end of the year hopefully. Keeping my Switch will be pretty much pointless.

@jaqen_hghar: Nothing specific, but Jeff briefly discusses how it could have implications on how Marvel licenses in games work in the future. If you're looking to avoid even vague story stuff, I'd skip that section (13:50-17:20) to be safe.

Never really followed Jeff before, but I’m digging the show and catching up on his other back catalog of his other stuff now and loving it!

Holy moly, I used to read Kombo. I used to be with them back when they were the Advanced Media Network or AMN. I haven't heard about Kombo in aaaaaaages. Casey Ayers I think was the EIC? How do I remember this...

Yeah, that BG&E2 segment was quite weird at the time and i immediatly pressed X to doubt on it. Michel Ancel, a long-time major figure at Ubi leaves Ubi to start his own studio. They work on a new game for quite a bit, actually announce the game with a trailer and all, and suddenly he's back at Ubisoft to announce a sequel to a cult classic of his. As everyone's lips are publically trembling in fear of Vivendi swooping in. Ubisoft's stockprice jumped upwards, and Vivendi backed off as they would suddenly have to pay more to acquire Ubisoft.

The game itself also didn't seem like it really captured what people liked about Beyond Good & Evil. Instead of doing the logical thing and have it be a similar kind of game that people really liked, suddenly it seems to be a space trading game with only hints of that previous game being stuffed in the corners, like the game wasn't really meant to be a BG&E game when it started production.

WHY IS THIS PREMIUM??? It's a man almost simply guessing and a recap of the news. Why am I paying money for this? I like Jeff Grub but this is not why I pay for a Giant Bomb subscription.

@grayfox666: It's not your cup of tea and that's cool. Personally, I really enjoy this kind of expert analysis and I think it's nice having some more GB content that I can listen to rather than watch.
