You're probably going to have play it a bit slower on Heroic, especially if it's your first time playing Halo. Putting it on normal makes it much easier to blow through rooms/hallways.

I remember when Halo came out we spent a lot of time just throwing sticky bombs on moving warthog wheels and we thought that was the coolest thing. We were also 8.

The part where Brad says they will play TemTem in 5 to 10 minutes and the video length is one hour long is funny.

Halo is still good, but Marathon 2: Durandal and Myth: The Fallen Lords are Bungie's real masterpieces

Ben discovering how good Halo is is a lot of fun. Maybe try it in co-op if possible? That speeds it up a bit since you're not constantly resetting to a checkpoint when you die (unless you both die).

Is the game feed only playing at 30FPS for anyone else, not sure if there is issues with my playback of the video.

He said that it popped up on something that's coming over the weekend. Guessing that's a reference to a new Demo Derby episode, which just made my weekend 200% better.

Personally, I found the higher difficulties to be very poorly balanced. The brutes are just bullet sponges that rush you, snipers that kill you in one shot, and annoying flying enemies that move faster than you can aim. As someone who really liked replaying the first game on Legendary, that really took the joy out of the campaign for me.

I've never understood it myself, Halo 2 has such a great campaign, and if I'm being honest, I was never really that upset with the ending. Yes, it was a pretty big cliffhanger, but it wasn't the end of the world like people made it seem to be, lol.

I am increasingly concerned by how often I have similar weird game obsessions to Jan (Tomba in this video)

Starting to be worried that I should actually try a Kingdom Hearts.

There was probably overall weaker gameplay as they were focused on stuff like dual wielding. And, as alluded to in this video, the level design was never actually good

But I think mostly it is a lot of the same hate 5 got. The trailers made it seem insane (and had a lot of bullshots) and it was mostly a bog standard middle installment. But mostly it was that you weren't really Master Chief for significant portions of it. Folk didn't want to be Arbiter/Locke. They wanted to be Chief

5's leave's-things-hanging is more appropriate, like an end to the season of a tv show. 2 feels like they cut out a level or two at the end (and, well, there was suppose to be one more level, but they ran out of time after some massive issues during development, and that was even after MS let them delay it).

There are like between one and two dozen Xbox game, exclusive at the time (who knows at this point where games ended up eventually) - that I would call essential if your going back, but Brad wants to ignorantly go with online-narrative driven, meme-ish bullshit.

EDIT - Yes, I know - the whole "they dont really know what their talking about" thing is old hat - but sometimes you have to vent and then go back to calm acceptance.

EDIT 2 - and to be fair, their answer for PS2 was not all that great either. One would love it there some sort of device, connected to other devices, could be used to find out more info.

Imagine actually being upset that Ben is planning to play through the Halo series.

@binarygod: I don't remember much about Halo 5. 2 went for the MGS: 2 switch-a-roo that people were mostly annoyed at. The ending didn't help, but there is a lot of documentation where Bungie wanted to do things differently, but... stuff had to be cut to make the release date, which at the time, was the biggest thing ever.

@binarygod: Agreed. I loathe the constant meme'ing we see on the internet where the same bs gets repeated over and over even though it isn't true. Xbox has and always has had great games worth playing on the console. Even including the xbox one. In fact I'd say the best Horizon game of this generation and of 2017 didn't come out on playstation, it came out on xbox and was Forza Horizon 3. Xbox has always been in this weird hate camp online as the new kid and then with the beginning of this gen the vitriol kicked into a near gear and reached absurd levels.

Also Chronicles of Riddick Escape from Butcher Bay. The best movie video game ever made.

@samlane94: I was a big fan of the Halo 1 weapon combo of Plasma Pistol / Human Pistol. Both pistols ended up pretty nerfed in Halo 2 onward, but they were still considerable in the first one.
