Loved it, Danny! Amazing work as always.

Cool format, and I'm glad Target Earth finally gets a spotlight outside of Jeff's home streams. And Jeff absolutely knew what he was doing wearing that t-shirt.

Kick ass game. Forgot all about that PS4 remake. Jeff's random love of this one reminds me of my random love of Silpheed (a mind-blowing Sega CD vertical shooter).

This is a fun way to hear about obscure titles. I want to try out this game series now.

Was watching the stream on youtube (but had to rewind like 20 mins) and it eventually stopped working saying it was put on private.

That was the new show I was most waiting for, and it did not disappoint.

This episode really breezed by! Really curious about where it goes. I started thinking what game I would pick that I really loved but not a lot of people know about and it's tough to come up with a game that I'm actually very familiar with. Like I thought Bureau 13 or Stratosphere: Conquest of the Skies were really neat I don't remember anything about them.

Ahem, you mean Silpheed, the PC-88 / DOS-compatible shooter from 1986. (The Sega CD version was a remake with improved graphics.)

@dragonmoony: Probably because this is meant to be a Premium Show outside of the premiere. They probably just locked it again when it was done and you were still watching.

I did not know that this was connected to Cybernator, a game I very much liked as a kid. I'd be willing to check that remake Danny tried out.

I know what I said, lol. I can't imagine even playing that game without the jaw-dropping intro. Love that Sega-CD music.

Assault Suit Leynos is my fave run n gun ever. I love the series and PS4 remake. Why I love games like Metal Warriors. Hardcore Mecha. Wolf Fang. Gigantic Army. Gunhound EX. Front Mission Gunhazard and many more. My mecha in Daemon X Machina is made to look like Leynos and yes I made a Valken one as well. Sadly that PS2 remake was a bit shit. @jeff

My personal Guilty Treasure: Brave Fencer Musashi. I think it reviewed quite well at the time. To me, it's a near-perfect action-RPG with amazing music, gameplay, voice acting, story, and variety. Despite all that, I have never met a single soul who has even heard of this game.

Love it! This game came out when I was in high school, I rented it all the time from our local video place and eventually bought it from there but with no manual. I had no idea about the other games in the series, going to have to get that remake from Steam. Awesome work Danny!

Thought this got announced as "first episode will be free and the rest will be behind a paywall". Oh well.

This is really great! Can’t wait to see what other titles the rest of the duders bring to the table. I hope we get to Drew and Austin and others, I bet they have real interesting obscure stuff they want to shine a light on.

@hns: there is past photographic evidence of Jeff with bleached hair….and Ryan too. I think Jeff said they did it together for some reason, possibly a joke back in the day, or perhaps it was just the fashion at the time.

Giant Bomb with the greatest comeback since Lazarus

This is a great series. I was missing Encyclopedia Bombastica a lot cause it was just a nice series where the crew just played old games they loved for fun and I feel this fills that hole nicely.

I second Silpheed, but no, the Sega CD version wasn't just a remake with improved graphics. It's kind of a sequel, and the graphics are absolutely mindblowing for the platform, and flows seamlessly from cutscenes to gameplay, with a whole narrative going on in the background while you play.

Well this is just rad as hell. Great contrast to Borne to Run.

Guess I'm gonna have to see about getting past the first stage/life of this game. It always looked rad but I sucked at it, glad to see it has some real good teeth.
