For those of you following along at home, 1 m/s is about 2.2 miles per hour. So that first 'landing' hit the surface of the moon at about 590 miles per hour. Hence the explosions and the death. :-)

The downside of running sandboxmode is that you have millions of parts availible and you dont know what they do or whats the difference between them. Career mode is really good for easing you into different types and sizes of fueltanks as an example but im sure you will figure it out in no time ;)

Btw you are rocking the space shuttle engine for your munlandercraft which is an interesting choice ;). That engine has huge thrust to get off the ground and also a very generous gimbal range so it can combat the very assymetrical setup of a Space shuttle (With the two huge solid rocket bosters pulling on only one side).

You're always going to gain speed as you drop towards the Mun because there's no atmospheric drag on you to slow you down. Only bodies with an atmosphere have a terminal velocity for falling objects.

This is probably the best series on GB to date. Also I really like that BEAST badge. Would love to have a sticker of that or something.

My only recurring nightmare involves me being shot into the air and falling back to earth at basically like 90% Slow-mo so this episode was juuuuuuuuust great for that.

Austin is my Spirit Proxy for this feature. The voice that cries out even before I get a chance to. The outlet for every ounce of anxiety that this series is going to yank out of me.
