@faridmon: In Seattle a Subway sub is $8 and SF is somehow more expensive than here, so ya a $6 sandwich from a convenience store is pretty dang cheap.

They are marketing this thing called "chai" to the American market as something unique and different when that words literally just means tea in most parts of eastern Europe.

hmm.. i'm extremely confused. Seems like you gain access by using the app but then you can just put the phone away & grab stuff and somehow it will know whos account took it off the shelves, even if your phone is off after gaining access? Can you game this by just having a bunch of friends access the store and not buy anything for a few minutes to confuse the system about which 'accounts' are active in the store and which are not? Are camera's storing your face and tieing it to an account as soon as you gain access to the store up until the point where you get out? Can you obfuscate your face while gaining access?

And how are you able to actually read the packaging, ingredients list & instructions without handling the items? Apparently you can ask employees in store to help you, but that seems counter to the whole idea.

Pay as you exit? Sweet deal.

So surely they're employing people to check video feeds and stuff overcharges/undercharges. I guess that's still probably less than staffing a entire store though hey.
