I wish that the co-hosts would at least read a little bit, or play the game for a bit, before helping Vinny. So much misinformation gets a little frustrating after the humor wears off.

That chat was there to provide the correct information whenever something was incorrect. You can trust that the chat will be on that stuff. We're essentially a living guide. I knew most of the incorrect info off the top of my head and provided the correction when needed.

Honestly, I think the chat gets entirely too worked up about a video segment on a gaming website. It's because people who are into Dark Souls are REALLY into Dark Souls, but they keep getting upset because Vinny is being warned about certain things that aren't funny and are just frustrating, because they didn't have a guide to help them and they want everyone else to suffer the way they did.

It's more the stuff like "I don't think people can drop items." or "I don't think you can backstab with that weapon." You know, stuff most people learn by the end of the first or second area.

It's humorous how Rorie is always ready and willing to disagree with Ian dispite being totally unsure himself on like 90% of the mechanics within the game.

The invader who ate it twice and dropped stuff thrice was trying to trigger Karmic Justice, because it would have been the greatest PvP encounter if it had worked.

Eh, I don't mind at all. It's not like this misinformation has had much impact on Vinny's playthrough. And there's not that much misinformation, most of the time the guys say they are unsure about something if they are.

Anyways, great stuff. Vinny fucking owned Four Kings :)

It was such a shame to see vinny be so scared and just roll over for the first invasion. Just fight him!

The worst that can happen is that you die... so why was Rorie so desperate for him to just "let him kill you"? What sort of advice is that??

The DLC is the best piece of DLC ever made. The bossfights are even better designed than the ones in the main game, they're also much more difficult. DO NOT beat the game if you're going to play the DLC. (else it would take many hours to get to the right spot)

There's also The Great Hollow and Ash Lake which I doubt Vinny found. He will not find those areas now without being told, because he's done with Blighttown.

It's all just a matter of whether Vinny wants to finish the game without seeing everything or not. I'm enjoying watching, but I can see this playthrough ending very soon.

I agree that it's my favorite DLC. It's a super tight package. I really don't know how much of that is just because I love Dark Souls, though. If you aren't even a little bit interested in the story then I can see it being just a good piece of content. It's hard to get into the story when you're entertaining two people and an audience of thousands. That said, yeah, Ash Lake, and there's still a boss hiding out somewhere that Vinny didn't kill. But that boss really isn't worth much for non-magic users.

Vinny has visited the Everlasting Dragon. It's listed as one of his bonfire warp locations.

The DLC does have the best bosses in the game. Artorias and Manus are in a class above all other bosses. Vinny might actually be powerful enough to tank Artorias. I've never really seen how slow high poise classes do against Artorias.

Don't just show Vinny the goddamn way, so he can practically skip the whole dungeon!

And it didn't surprise me, that Vinny actually managed to beat the Four Kings in one go, since like Ian said, Vinny had pretty much the ideal boss strategy for them.

I decided to help fight some DLC bosses. Me and the host cut off Kalameet's tail (around 10 minutes) and then we killed him. I then helped someone kill a NG++ Artorias. I'm surprised I still remember all his attack patterns. I was taunting Artorias during the fight to impress the host. I dual wielding my Uchi and didn't take a single hit. I then helped kill a normal game Artorias. He went down in like 30 seconds. His base level isn't as fun.

I played the game in such a way that there was no way for me to stand there and take hits while fighting the 4 Kings. I basically had to VinCo myself up (go back and get Havel armor/Ironflesh spell) just for that fight. Turns out Vinny inadvertently had the perfect build before even knowing about the fight. That's VinCo ingenuity.

It probably also helps that he's somewhat overleveled for the content. ;)

When I played Dark Souls a while back I managed to do the same, somehow. Haven't been watching this series but all I'd read about it was that it was supposed to be insanely difficult and I'd more than likely die. I was a bit unprepared when I found my way there but I figured I'd give it a go, just to see what it was like. Ended up doing it first time, not really having any idea what I was doing. I guess I just did well with dodging and had the right setup going in, but man, it was pretty intense.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. If you are watching a live stream of a game where you can invade the other person and you actually invade them, you are kinda a dick.

Four Kings is not even close to being the hardest boss in this game. Seath and Smough/Ornstein are much more difficult to solo.

Also the tactic of wearing Havel's set and chugging flasks is very common and easily works on many of the bosses in this game, including the final boss.

And the DLC bosses are more difficult than anything in the main game.
