Many of the renegade prompts do not mean you're a jerk Alex. A lot of the time they're more like "be a badass" prompts. They're worth doing!

It sucks that doing the Renegade options constantly creates a lot of scarring on your face. Though I did pay to get the surgery to get rid of them.

Aethyta is a minor character, but she's cool. I'm so happy Alex likes her, especially because of what happens in the third game.

I just realized that Shepards visor has a drawing of the Normandy and SHEPARD written in in her perspective just so she can remember her name I suppose, that's kinda dumb in a funny way.

Just a heads up for Alex and Vinny. There is a bug in Mass Effect 2 with Conrad Verner where his story will always play out as if you did the Renegade options in Mass Effect 1 with him. That's why this interaction might of seemed a bit off since you picked paragon and didn't point a gun at this face.

That Conrad encounter is great, and the asari bartender facepalming at the line about his wife around 12:45 is just perfect.

Aethyta the Bartender is the best side character ever. They uh, just don't make them like they used to, as they say.

Should pick some more Renegade options, a lot of the Paragon options are so dull compared to Renegade :P

So I feel I should point something out. The whole thing with Conrad Verner is bugged, he acts like you were mean to him (used renegade options on him) as opposed to talking him down. This is regardless of your choice in the first, and it’s a bug that can only be fixed through a mod. It’s annoying.

Y'all should watch the "Shepard is a jerk" videos at the end of this series.

Ah good ol Samara. One of the best characters in the series. Too bad they designed the ascetic space monk to dress like a strawberry with cleavage.

Next time: the platonic ideal of DLC. Don't think it's been topped as a package to this date.

@schurik:LotSB is really great, but I would put Citadel a hair above it.

The Witcher 3 expansions, Heart of Stone and Blood & Wine, are easily the two best DLC packages of all time (at least for an RPG-type game). Besides that, I agree - Shadow Broker is great! And I may still like the Citadel DLC from ME3 even more for the pure, uncut fan service with characters you've grown to love over the course of trilogy. I never played the Leviathan DLC in 3, which has been making me want to replay that game for a while now.

Wow how did I forget those - you're right, although I'd argue that they feel more like classic expansion packs than DLC. Shadow Broker is more contained, which makes it feel more like DLC, at least IMO.

Alex, don't think of Renegade Prompts as 'Bad'. There are some that certainly are, but more often than not, it's taking the initiative, or making the impulsive choice when given the opportunity. I would use your best judgement and go case by case, but I personally played a Paragon Shep, and also took plenty of Renegade Interrupts. To me, they signify Shepard taking no BS. Keep it up!

@madpierrot: Apparently this can be remedied on PC, for interested parties. But on 360 you're right, he always reacts like you stuck a gun in his face.

The background dialogue is so fucking good in this game and really helps the world building. I think detail like that is why this game is so replayable and well regarded.

I love 2 hour mass alex episodes. Also if you activate an armory while you're out and about your ammo will be filled up automatically

That was a good dumb bit. It's around as dumb as last episode's Vinny's "We got ship to do."

I ship Samara and Thane...

Well, Alex is working his way towards making Jacob Taylor her softboi. If Alex does not want that, he need to "cool it" with Jacob. Samara or Kelly are the only good Femshep choices...Thane is a good alternative for some lizard lovin.

God I love that whole Volus scene so much. What a lovable drugged up little doofus he was.

Maybe this is more indicative of who I am as a person, but when Vinny & Alex were singsonging Thane's name, I was personally opting for "THANE! I'm gonna live foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever!"

excessive use of the word "bitch" aside this series has reminded me how great the writing is in ME2, reaches a quality we rarely see in games.

Been looking forward to Alex meeting Samara and this episode didn't disappoint. Also yeah Shadow Broker DLC rules.
