@geraltitude That's because it's hidden away in a menu that you have to find to watch. Most people missed it playing this game.

The rest of the mission briefings will actually play when they play the game normally.

How the hell did Dan not watch the mission briefings? They're integral (no pun intended) to the whole thing, AND they give you items.

Does anyone else see a face in the front of the plane? The windows look like eyes and I see a nose and mouth below it.

Dan spoiling the Johnny twist

I have nothing against how Drew is playing the game, but I thought Dan was going to tone down the story spoilers.

I don't think Dan is the type of person who can keep secrets. A walking, talking spoiler. What's weird, though, is how often he spoils things mere minutes before the information is presented. He just can't contain himself.

There are things you can do in the options menu that can make your experience more fun. Put cycle mode for your weapons so you can just can tap on r2 to switch between 3 weapons real fast. It will make the switch to a cqc weapon like a knife or handgun real quick. It also keeps the flow of the game moving. You will still be able to hold r2 when you want to see your complete list of weapons.

Dan spoiled two big plot points in one episode lol. To be fair, I know he didn't mean to, but still SHUT UP DAN.

Yeah, I thought that was an unusual blunder on Dan's part. That isn't revealed until near the end of the game.

Yo Dan, this game is chock full of stuff that they are going to outright tell Drew themselves. While the Jonny thing is super telegraphed ahead of time and the Sunny thing really isn't that big of a deal, maybe cool it with trying to fill Drew in with every piece of info you can think of and let the game handle it? (at least as far as story beats are concerned) :)

Dan, just because you say "this is not a spoiler," does not make a spoiler no longer a spoiler.

I'm surprised by how often these three episodes have involved crotches in prominent focus. Both in and out of the game.

Also, literally every time I hear the word "insurrection," I have to look up what insurrection means.

The mention of VR Missions reminds me, they should totally play that. Drew needs Guardzilla and the murder mystery mission in his life.

Actually, I seem to recall there being items hidden in the cargo area of the plane that you can pick up with the Mk2 while the briefings are playing. Extra battery backups for it and such.

@danryckert: I know it's been a while since you played MGS4, so just enjoy reliving the story with Drew. Only help him out when there is serious confusion.

Dan, Snake has older generation nanomachines and Akiba just aren't effective. They already explained the 1st one in the cutscene with Drebin.

Eh it wasn't that big of a spoiler, and Drew's already forgotten, I'm sure.

@danryckert: You've done well so far in this series, can't remember you spoiling anything too major in previous games. For the love of God though, please don't let on that there's anything interesting about Campbell's wife!

Not sure if you guys noticed, @unastrike@drewbert @danryckert, but I realized listening to this in headphones that the audio channels for the game are swapped (HUD sound effects are on the wrong side, etc).

I could've sworn the mission briefing played when the first act was being installed on the PS3. I remember watching it, but not going through the menu to do so.

Game audio always seems so low compared to their voices. Dan is screaming so I can hear the game.

Hey make sure you check out Drebin store every now and then. He restocks with new gear as you progress in story. Plus you can buy ammo if needed.

I am enjoying content so far so keep it up.

@danryckert: Drew seems determined to let the game tell him stuff, and be confused when everyone else was confused. Maybe just wait until your post game talk to fill in gaps and such?

I remember being very impressed that you could control the MK.II during the Mission Briefings. It was a neat way of giving players something to do during big info dumps. If I remember right, you can find a secrete item in each briefing.

I forgot about the mission briefings, why were those not put in the game proper?

I hope they equip the Assassins Creed outfit at some point, I don't recall it being hard to unlock and looks really silly.
