@austin_walker: Thanks man! Very interesting talk about a very interesting subject. I guess no matter how it ends up shaking out gaming wise, VR truly opens up the gates for a whole new lane of technology, I do wonder what's gonna be the most interesting non-gaming VR use (Personaly I'd really dig getting lost in the martian surface for a few hours). A recent story that comes to mind is this one about amputees and Mad Max, see if you can spot the kinect reference in this bad ass article.

And speaking of wich, I heard you mentioning VR+ Elite Dangerous. I already play that game just with a joystick and voice commands that are responded by a Cortana soundalike. I already feel inmmersed like a boss when I play that game, but if I add an oculus to that set up.... will I end up loosing myself in space? Cause I kind of wanna...

Oh god this is incredibly uncomfortable for me.

I'll stick it out because I love the stuff Austin does, but having audio focused on one ear is like nails on a chalkboard with headphones.

So weird, I used to by 3d papercraft terrain from Denny's company for my D&D games, they were rad! And now he's making a VR game.

Can't wait to play a VR game myself.

Some really great points made here about VR. Until it's a technology that regularly works as intended without making a portion of users sick, it'll never be a mainstream commercial success. I think it'll get there, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes another 10 years.
