Jeff , I have taken my Frig and stove from our last home. Buyer were going to rent so didn't need/want it.

My parents owned a laundromat in the 80s. They would have at least 4 arcade machines and as a kid, it was pretty sweet. The first arcade game I ever played was the Donkey Kong Jr. cab.

A built-in dishwasher I can understand, but our fridge and washing machine (both 2nd hand) have lived in more houses than I have at this point.

Edit: Also, guess my mum was way ahead of her time when she blew our minds by mixing rice bubbles and cocoa pops for us when we were kids.

Depends on where you live, and whether you own or rent. In LA for example, a lot of places won't come with appliances (even if you rent). In San Diego, I've never moved any appliances.

Where I work we "inherited" a fridge from one of the guys who used to work here (from his home, yeah I'm puzzled about that too, but the guy bought an LED lamp for his own new fridge, why exactly? It's only on when the door is open, or so I hear, I've never climbed in a fridge to find out and it seems like a real waste of money). By the time I joined the company the one side of that fridge was covered in tea stains, because the bin was next to it (euw gross, I know), One of our customers walked past it and gave it a really hard disbelieving look, because she couldn't believe the state it was in. We got a new fridge about a year afterwards.

I just switched on the coffee machine and it just rinsed itelf in my cup. Nice. Still it is Friday the 13th today so that figures.

Then it said "Fill Tank". I am truly damned today.... I did at least get a decent amount of coffee first :)

@jagerxbomb: Yeah nah, I should have prefaced I'm mainly coming from an aussie, suburban mortgage viewpoint but I can definitely dig how city apartment/rental life would be different.

Tipping a cable person? I'm pretty empathetic, but absolutely not. Jeff G's problems are going to cost a decent amount to just run that line, so tipping should be out of the question there. Otherwise what the cable person typically does is something I could easily do myself, and I'm already getting charged like $50 for an activation fee anyway, so tips shouldn't come into it at all.

@janman Have you looked at Curse of the Dead Gods? I just tried it on game pass, seems like a Hades/Dead Cells hybrid. Seems cool, lot's of fun to play.

WindJammers 2 seems pretty cool. It looks like what a genuine SNK sequel would be like, kind of like Baseball Stars 2 and how much of an improvement that was in presentation. As much as I like Zool, I don't see the point of that remaster. I don't think that game ever took off like some of Sega's other platformers during the 90s.

Windjammers would be an incredible movie adaptation!!!

@janman the wrong zool game is linked in "In this episode", should be Zool Redimensioned (and the "Tag this video" feature hasn't worked since the weeks after it was introduced, so I can't correct it myself).

i'm pretty sure this is usually negotiated with the buyer. when my parents moved, the buyer offered to buy most of the furniture they were willing to leave. and of course, they bought all the large appliances, like the dishwasher and fridge

Pete's Henny Penny looks just like a number of diner's I've eaten at in Southern beach towns over the years (shout out to Harry's in Myrtle Beach). I'd bet any amount of money I'd like the food at Pete's.
