I was sold on this game after I saw the main character's walking animation.

FYI the game's name is just "Picnic" transliterated into Japanese. Also this game looks rad.

Holy shit, the game's intro is incredible.

It's been a long time since Giant Bomb did a Quick Look that sold me on an unknown game, but not anymore. This seems fun, it has some nice charm to it, and that intro cutscene is hilarious.

Every time Ben is just talking about a game he totally just wanders aimlessly back and forth for minutes at a time. It's great that he focuses on getting the explanations and introductions correct, but it always drives me crazy watching him spin in circles or roll up and down a hill. I know how hard it is to talk and play, but it still drives me nuts! Sorry Ben!

Sweet! I saw this at PAX South recently. I never got to play it, though, because the wait was too long. Ditto for Katana Zero. The whole Devolver booth was pretty busy this year.

@shabadoo22: what's weird, though, is that the katakana they use on the title screen (ピクニック) would be romanised as "pikunikku", not "pikuniku" -- probably for stylistic reasons but it made me raise an eyebrow

super minor nitpick for what otherwise seems like a Cool Game™ though

I love it.

I've seen/played this game at a couple of PAX's now. They only had the co-op running and I had no idea there was an adventure mode in it. It's pretty rad.
