Quick Look: Pokémon Sword and Shield: Isle of Armor DLC

I put about 2000 hours into Pokemon Blue as a kid then stopped dead with the franchise for some reason. Tried to play X a few years ago but it didn't take.

I gotta say though Mr. Ochoa, I just threw this on out of curiosity for the expansion then sort of zoned and left it running while I did other stuff and I have one big takeaway;

I don't know the technical term but Pokemon's "audio barks" are unparalleled. The little musical cues & stings that play when you catch something, or level up, or do anything really. The entire audio design in general is pretty amazing.

I need to find like a ten hour, no commentary, let's play or something to help me fall asleep to. Or even just as back ground noise.

It kind of reminds me of a Dragon Quest soundscape but way better?

I'd love to redeem that high five and/or spirited back rub after Lockdown is over, Jan!

I'm really not a Pokémon person but I kinda want to play the latest one just so I can understand everything about Jan's videos on the games. I love Jan's videos. Thank you for making me think seriously about buying Pokémon Jan!!

Has anyone found a reliable way to get more max mushrooms? I keep doing raid battles and they're not appearing.

Related note: This series is turning into a frightening, grind-heavy, currency exchange...

Klara sucks I hope the armor equivalent is better.

@tropesage: Avery is nearly identical, right down to scene framing. He just trades Klara's occasional cutesy bits for haughty posturing. His floating Poké Balls with telekinesis is kinda neat, though.

I totally understand why they're doing them, but these solo quick looks are a bummer.

RE: Pokemon Snap

As someone who literally went through this journey this week...If you are talking about the kind of "cartridges" that I think you are...then you aren't going to be able to find one that works properly. Reading countless reddit threads and other sites confirmed that for me.

You're best bet to play the original Pokemon Snap at this point is the Wii U Virtual Console...or an original N64 with a cartridge that works ;-)
