I'm still unsure of the answer to the question of the week... question.

Just come up with good questions and give the people some more time (like have a queation every other week)! And make it some kind of competition, site quests, swag or something? I dunno, you are the masterminds! It's nice to see the community up front! The community is one of the great things about the site.

Like all QOTWs before it, it was amusing for about a minute, but then the great morass of sweltering neckbeards dragged it under the firmament. I'd rather see Vinny spend his time on more green screen abuse.

By submitting and saying "No", you're really saying yes, cause you wanted your video to be on the site.

Aww. I'd like to say you should keep it going as I've seen some good videos, but to be honest most weeks I didn't watch them. And well... yeah, people can be lazy. Or you get people like me who keep saying they'll keep making videos but then not. :\

If I had a camcorder I would say... no.

I'm glad everyone said no. This was the worst feature on GB. 

if more people put as much work as that charmander dude did, i would totally say keep em, but otherwise its just kinda boring

I like the feature, and would contribute if I had more than a week to make a video.  I'm too busy to make something in a week.  So why not a question of the month and make a contest out of it?  We always got the best submissions when there was something to win.

Question of the week has failed because they only have asked actual questions for like 3 of them.

Only people who care about QOTW are the 10 people who make videos for it.

Brenderous and shadowthrone's response was awesome.

Hm! Hm. Looking at this giant ass video, it's clear that a lot more people have the time, gear, willingness and ingenuity required to do this than I thought. Maybe our answers have never been the problem. Maybe it's just that, like that one guy said, the questions have sucked lately.
 
I'm also going to echo the requests for a longer timeframe. That won't just help the people submitting their stuff, but it'd also make it easier for the GB crew to come up with worthwhile questions! One every other week, or one question per month sounds good to me.
 
Maybe then I'll even consider contributing, just for the cause of keeping it alive in some form. As I do not have access to any kind of camera, I'll have to think up something much more time consuming... Like actually animating myself telling you the answer. I could do it in Flash, pixel art or 3D form, if the question was worthwhile all that trouble, and in itself, opened up those kinds of creative possibilities...
 
tl;dr: Try question of the month, and try thinking up some really clever questions to get the contributors going!

I don't know if my vote counts since I didn't send a video, but I vote yes. 
 
I think this question may have inspired a lot of people to actually start answering, so I think at least give it another couple weeks.

Not everyone said no. You obviously didn't watch the whole video, so why are you even commenting on this?  If people don't want to watch the videos, then they should not watch or comment or even have a say in whether it stays or not.  Let the people who actually enjoy submitting and watching comment keep qotw, and you guys can go away and see all serious or whatever it is you do. "

I only watched the first 2 minutes of this and turned it off because everyone who responded was a snarky asshole. If that is indicative of all the other QOTW then I guess it should not continue.

Suggestion: as others have said, make it a question of the month. Let the community vote for the best video, and the winner gets a free membership for that month. Incentivising it without creating a hassle for the GB guys to give out some kind of reward. Some qotw answers have been really good and fun!

Simple, Good Questions = More Responses. OR Once a month.
