Quick Look: Adventures of Pip

Gee, a pixelated platformer. Never seen one of those before.

That said, it was kind of cool watching Dan and Jeff-- two guys with a ton of gaming experience-- try to figure out that boss.

Gimmick isnt specifically a wrestling term, but it is used often by fans and wrestlers. I don't even watch wrestling and I know that.

Lack of intimate knowledge of a thing does not preclude fandom of that thing.

I think I saw a review for this a few months ago on pc, and it still looks like the most appealing of the 'evolving sprite' games, maybe because it has a touch of the shovel knight about it and looks relatively easy to understand in terms of mechanics but has enough complexity in terms of platforming timing to maintain a balance. Still really like the art style.

Was longer than that I think. Possibly related to the kickstarter for it. Can't find any trace of any downloads though, it's super weird.

This game seems pretty alright, will probably check it out down the line. Seems to have enough gameplay mechanics to keep it interesting over the length of the game.

Which occasions are you talking about?

I like the dynamic between Dan and Jeff. Jeff always sounds like a patient parent on QLs with Dan, like a dad who indulges his son's imagination... but 5 minutes later they'll discuss something and he'll give Dan some soft advice, almost like a mentor. It's cute.

Man, I thought I was the only person who thought he said channel slightly oddly.

Dan also tends to sound like he's talking with too much saliva in his mouth.

I really like the idea of this game but there is something about fake low-res flash game graphics I just can't stand... Vector graphics are cool but not for "pixel" graphics.

I was OK with the excuse "neeeh it's pixel cause limitations." Now I just want it to stop.
