YAY! Was looking forward to this.

damn this game doesn't look cool :(

I'm enjoying my time with this game, but like most people have said: it's lacking in content.
If you don't enjoy barebones fighting games, then maybe wait for a sale on this one. Though I usually dislike fighting games and I ended up liking this thing. Its like a fighting game but without having to memorize 100s of long combo strings! Its exactly what I've wanted in a fighting game!
It is pretty damn Stylish too!

Played the first Test Punch and in 5 minutes knew how the motion controls worked. Dan reviewed the game and doesn't know how they work. Maybe this was recorded before he played a lot, I dunno.

Loving this game. If Splatoon is Nintendo making a shooter this is totally them making a fighting game. I would love it to have more stuff in it (characters, arms, costumes) but hopefully that comes later. For sure a game that gets better as you play it more. It felt super hard at first but once I got the hang of it I felt great. Also Dan is totally right about close matches being super fun.

I think I'm getting motion sick from watching this.

I wonder how this game would play in VR. Too bad we'll never know.

I like this a lot more than I was expecting. I feel like this does what Jeff wanted from Divekick in terms of making the endgame fighting game mindset accessible to non-fighting-game-players but with way more depth and way less making the game less accessible for the sake of hard to explain fighting game in-jokes and hard to understand special rules.

This is only from watching this Quick Look, so take this with a grain of salt, but if I ever get a switch, the chance of getting this has just gone up dramatically.

I'm not really digging the 'new Nintendo' games; that said, I'm glad to see the positivity in the comments.

not liking them is very different than not knowing how they work.

I hope this franchise gets a driving game spin-off, it could be called "Arms race".

I was not expecting to like this at all. Really glad I took a chance on it. It is very light on content but I enjoy the core fighting so much that it doesn't really bother me.

These are some pretty... wild arms.

Kinda wish they had Jason and Ben on this; I'm curious if it has more depth than Dan and Vinny were able to pull from it, although they're probably more representative of the audience (i.e. it doesn't seem to be a replacement for Street Fighter or Guilty Gear) Nintendo was going for.

"If you don't like jumping around and punching, then this game isn't for you, as that's all this is." If that's really the extent of it, then I guess I'll give it a pass.

They should add Piccolo to the game. Namekians have stretchy arms, so it would totally work.

I really like the style and designs but it feels like it should have been part of a Switch Sports package instead of a full priced deal.

Yah I was curious about that myself. I mean if Dan Quick Looked Yakuza 0 he'd say "oh you just hit square a bunch of times and thats all there is to it; there are a bunch of styles but you never have to use any of that stuff.." which I mean..

Been loving this game so far, it's really fun and different. Beat the grand prix with a few characters and have been primarily playing online ranked and some of the battles get soooo intense it's great. Also haven't even touched the motion controls at all actually lol, 100% pro controller and its totally fine. Angling punches took nothing short of a few matches to figure out really and its fine after that.

I really like this game...

@ohnonono: I had a crazy party mode match where it came down to us trading blows and repeatedly deflecting punches. I lost narrowly in the end, but man it was pretty tense!

@zaldar: He says he doesn't know if you can curve your punches using motion controls. So he doesn't know how it works. He even says so. I don't personally care if you know how every control scheme for a game works, but maybe for this one it might have been better to fully understand the gimmick.

This feels like a Launch title with a Launch titles amount of content, except I have other ways to play games so there's no need for me to overpay (IMO) for a game like this. It's a shame they don't do good sales for Nintendo games that don't (I expect) sell well.

As others say if there were 6 sports with these characters and 3 or so were fun this might be worth a purchase. Why not tennis or table tennis, why not soccer so we can make the "does Arms have Legs?" joke. There's more stuff they could do with this but haven't so they won't get my money.

I keep reading the game title as ASMR and I get triggered every time~

I know they aren't necessarily set up for it in the East studio but it strikes me as bad that they're QLing this game without actually showing the motion controls. The game looks super rad though.

Uh, is there something wrong with the capture of this game? Like, there are white lines along the menu options and the yellows look really crazy.

That said, really enjoying this game a lot so far. It get's hard which is nice. Some of the game modes are rubbish imo tho. Like the 2v2 one where your bundled together is complete and other rubbish.
