I'm afraid I have to disagree. Last year I watched it twice in one day to prepare for a podcast that I do, and I wanted to kill myself by the end of it.

I'm with you. It's underappreciated. I need to watch it again, but I feel like it's almost satirizing the character. It's like the Adam West Batman series with a giant budget and some 90's flair.

I really enjoyed this game but ONCE AGAIN Tell Tale buggy garbage made the experience way less fun than it should have been. Laggy scenes and missing audio in sections really made some cool moments kind of crappy. If they can overcome the cliche hurdle of Tell Tale games being technically unimpressive this series could be really cool.

@hatking Except its not. Basically someone from Warner Bros came in and told the creative team that they needed to make all the characters and scenes more "toyetic" (which apparently meant friendly to action figures and toys) opposed to just worrying about making a film.

This looks bad. I don't know if it's the Telltale style, relegating Batman action sequences to a series of quick-time events, or it being another Batman game telling the same story as every other Batman game.

I was done with Telltale a while ago after Fables, but I really liked that series. Fables was fun and felt fresh because it's a cool universe and the style seemed to fit with it real well. I was really excited to see what new and underlooked IPs they could twist into a Telltale game (Preacher would be a good one now that it has its own series). Making a Batman game just doesn't seem great considering the source material has been covered millions of times over and Batman is a very action heavy character, something that adding a "finishing move" for if you correctly punched in the quick-time events doesn't do justice.

Real glad I didn't auto-buy this. Looks incredibly cash-grabby, like it fell right out of the Telltale-o-Mat 9000.

On a side note, that parents stuff is grim, man... They're super dead. THEY FUCKING KILLED HIS PARENTS!

Oh boy, this doesn't look good on multiple aspects. Telltale doesn't need to upgrade just their engine, they also need to upgrade their gameplay, their artstyle and their animation skills. The way the faces move still look like animations from the Sam & Max games from 2006.

Bad framerate in a Telltale game? You don't say. Was there even ONE Telltale game with a stable framerate on consoles in the last 4 years?

as i get older the tell tale games (And story games in general) become a terrible slog its good they have an audience but unless im fully in control i cant stand sitting through all the endless dialogue i tried tales from the borderlands and couldnt stand it and really wanted to get into life is strange but idk

This is actually most of the episode. I found it incredibly short, even by Telltale standards.

It's taken a long time, but I think I might be tired of Batman. I've seen these particular stories so many times, done better.

It's a Batman story. As much as I think TT would like to, and will try to, make the property their own, they're still beholden to the legacy of the character. Which is hard for me to get excited about. Add in crappy tech, stale gameplay, man I am just far from the excitement I once felt for a TT game.
