Hmm I don't know. I loved 1942 but this one seems a little bit butchered.

Not feeling it, im a long time battlefield fan and the departure for 2142 is alittle too simplified, plus no gun unlocks? or any unlocks? FAIL.

i found flying in 1942 was the easiest compared to the others...

As soon as I saw this, I reinstalled BF 1942 on my PC :)

Yea it's not a Battlefield game if the planes and choppers aren't incredibly hard to control.

This reminds me so much of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. That was the best online multiplayer game for the PS2.

How much space does this take up on the 360 hard drive?

It's basically four redecorated BF1942 maps with less players, less classes, regenerating health and ammo and probably other assorted tweaks (for better or worse) on the Frostbite engine (destruction and crazy audio). Doesn't really seem a whole lot like BF1942 to me apart from the maps and general WW2-ness going on. 

I would very much have liked it if they had channeled some of the crazy. This seems to have little to none of that, way too plain. Where's my drivable aircraft carrier, submarines, destroyers, B17's, glitchy anti-air guns, wing walking, jeep launching, voice commands in languages I can't understand and artillery that no one ever uses properly?

For $15, fair enough. But tis a bit sad.

To anyone at GB who hasn't played Battlefield Bad Company, it's excessively fun & not too long for the really entertaining single player too see what happens with Bad Company. It's highly recommended by me for people to play it.

i dont wanna sound gay or nothin but i like the early morning Vinny and Brad combo. they should start up a hilarious sit-com and use the Family Ties intro music. i hope there's a Wake Island demo so i can play the demo over and over and never buy the game. because like Brad, thats what i totally did for the original.

was it just me or does this game look floaty, laggy, and just glitchy overall?

I gotta say Im  pretty disappointed about the 24ppl limit too, I usually play BF2 only on 50+ ppl servers (which IMO is a good number for all maps in it, including the bf2 version of Wake Island which Id like to believe is about the same sized as 1942 version and 1943 version). I mean, I could do with less that 64 but still 24... Like 30-40 would be nice ;(

Im def getting this, i have to disagree on one thing though, i didnt find the planes in 1942 particularly hard to master flying. different strokes for different folks i guees, cheers.
