I remember that around the time of its release, I ordered Blaster Master from a gaming catalog, but I never received it.  :/

This could be the most irritatingly repetitive soundtrack I've heard for a game.

Blaster Master hasn't aged very well has it, even so... thats a pretty ugly remake

Yeah, that soundtrack pretty much killed any desire I may have had to play this.

So, prequel to Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome where Master Blaster (with Master carrying Blaster, back when Blaster was a little baby) fight all the living machines from Maximum Overdrive? Sweet! I hope it has mutant frogs.

Giant Enemy Crab!

Every time I hear Blaster Master I think of Math Blaster.

I loved Ryan in this one, seeing him frustrated is awesome.

Didnt play this when I was younger, which takes out the only reason i might try this horrible tooking game.

I just want to tell everyone that I beat the original Blaster Master.  In 2000.  That is all.

A  appropriate game for the Wii

I loved the fact that the dungeon with the boss was the only one without a save point. Brilliant.

Yeah, I was pretty pumped for this, now I'm not so sure, it seems kinda poorly designed... I mean, when you're walking, the game should keep you in the center of the screen somewhat so you can see what's coming. The gunshots come out way on the side of the character when facing up and down. The music is super repetitive. I never did play very far into the original game, and seeing as how this is a remake and apparently not a great one...
 
Also, I'm not sure if Ryan's old school skills are in serious disrepair or this game is just that clunky/hard.

I loved Blaster Master. I'm not loving this so far.

Wow, seems Sunsoft didn't feel like designing creatures for this game, and in stead ripped the quadrupeds from Starship Troopers! 

I don't have a Wii :-[

I had $10 on my Wii, and Blaster Master is my favorite game of all time. The only game of note to do Metroid style games before it was Metroid. Helped helped define that style. As for Overdrive, I am loving it so far. But the controls have issues. Every button does something.
 
B is for strafing or locking your cannon's aim
A changes weapons
+ plus pauses on the vehicle levels
 - is map on vehicles levels.
 
Those tend to be the easiest to miss. I love the graphics, and adore the music. I have not dorked out over a game like this in years.

This looks bad

The toughest enemy in Master Blaster Overdrive is the save menu. Yup, it's true.

I'm so glad there was a quick look for this.

By the way, this is not a remake as some one had stated. It is brand new.
 
The biggest two issues of the game are the controls being too complicated for the wiimote, and the auto hits. Otherwise it is pretty good. But then again I eat up side scrollers and exploration games.

Looks terrible. I already downloaded the VC NES game, so it looks like if you have that, there is no point in getting this.

Oh man, a childish squeal followed by crushing disappointment. I could beat this game in one sitting without dying as a kid. This would have been an instant buy had I not seen this video. The on-foot controls look brutal.
