Until I saw reviews for this game I thought this was an fps.

Hey its the game that used to be Duke Nukem until Gearbox sued 3D Realms.

This should be "good".

Man...this game looks rough. In 2016 I think muddy, blurry textures are one of my biggest pet peeves.

I could see this being a distraction for like $15 but charging 35$ for this game is insane.

I remember concept art and few lines of text from a translated Duke Nukem Forever PC Gamer hype article back in, like...1997, regarding Duke's female sidekick named Bombshell. Back when DNF still seemed like it'd be the greatest thing ever...

Bombshell might be lame, but you guys should do a retro look at Loaded on PSX. that game was tight

You know, this game really does end up feeling like Duke Nukem Forever, but in top down shooter form. Just everything is so bland and uninteresting, and on top of that it all feels so old but without any real charm.

Edit: One cool thing to come from this is that they're making a "prequel" Bombshell game using the Build engine. Which is kind of fucking awesome.

I'm not sure if Gametrailers still does this, but they started every review with a pun for years when I still kept up with their reviews.

Pet peeve: shooting games with low enemy counts and wide-open arena levels. You need to provide some kind of shape for the fights, either by throwing down some walls for cover or by carefully placing enemies/spawning swarms. There needs to be some reason for "circle-strafe everything" to not be the dominant strategy.

Is this a PS2 game?

Man... if this game still was a Duke Nukem game, and had 2-4 player coop, I'd be ALL OVER IT!

Just doesn't seem interesting. Cheap is okay....but this looks generic on so many levels.

Truck driving robot arm hero seem more like a lazy Mad Max: Fury Road Furiosa clone then a gender swapped Duke Nukem. Still pretty uninspired.

@phoenix87: LOADED has not held up well. It only has Dpad support and for a twin-stick style game it's not exactly ideal.

@amyggen: I honestly couldn't tell you what GameTrailers does these days without going there and checking them out. I used to like the video reviews they did as they showed a good deal of gameplay, the good and the bad. Could not STAND any of their podcasts - especially the one with the "angry gamer" or whatever the British guys nickname was, whose sole contribution to all Invisible Walls episodes was dumping on popular franchises in this super snarky tone.

Not anymore than ANY revolver would lose its ammunition when you hoster it. Revolver cylinders have a cap that covers the firing chambers on the hammer-ends, you know.

Also, crazy high-capacity multi-barreled revolvers were an actual thing back in "the day".

Best part was the conversation about Ratchet & Clank.

The lineage is even weirder than Brad says here. Bombshell was originally a character in the very first Duke Nukem Forever from 97 or whatever who was a Pamela Anderson type NPC bad ass girl you teamed up with.

I think, looking back, the first Jak & Daxter is easily one of the best 3D platformers ever. It was undeservedly overshadowed by its sequels.

Jak 2 is easily the best of the series.

This is an Unreal Engine looking ass Unreal Engine game.

Wow does this look, sound and feel terrible in every way possible. Game could have at least had a nice art direction or something but even that just makes me think of the worst bargain bin unreal3 games of the 2006-2009 days.

But on principle I would never play this simply due to its extremely off-putting sense of humor. Seems like the only game studio in existence that does "lol vidya games" jokes well is Volition.

I totally though this game was cancelled.

This game just seems mediocre. Which makes it look more boring to play than an actively terrible game.
